28mm Painted Antenocitis Workshop Warthogs.

Finally started to paint my neo US armour and have finished these Warthogs from Antenocitis Workshop  http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/ , the base colour is Vallejo WW2 german fieldgrey which was inked and washed, drybrushed and then mudified (muddy and dirty) because they are combat vehicles and in constant action. To follow very soon are the Pig Iron heavy stuff, Games Workshop sentinels and stormraven gunship for the same forces. The blue star will be the opposite to Neo Soviets red star, I'm trying for that 2000AD Rogue Trooper Nort vs South conflict.

Pictures are the usual quality (sigh).

28mm Pig Iron Ferals for more size comparison.

  1. They look great. They have a nice used gritty look to them.

  2. I never have a problem with the pictures. You've got an excellent set-up there and it gives a very real-life look, nowhere near as sterile as model photos can be. I love the games room as backdrop too.

  3. Nice vehicles with a good looking paint job.
    What else can I say?
Also must be fun to overrun some zombies with these.

  4. They are looking pretty good. Have some single colour background when taking pictures. It might help you a bit.

  6. Cool vehicles with a great paint job! You work really quickly on stuff. Takes me weeks to make the progress you seem to make in days...

Hey, strawberry ice-cream on toast, while rather odd in context, isn't as strange sounding as Kzin desserts, and those are pretty good.

  16. How do you get that "weathered" look? I like how I can still see the town in the background. Too bad the lads didn't have those on Sunday!

  17. @Rorschach: Drybrushing which means taking as much paint off the brush as you can and running lightly over the vehicle highlighting the edges.

  18. I like your photos. And I imagine strawberry ice cream on toast isn't all that bad, either. Sure beats eating it off the floor.
