Bodging Games Workshop WH40K Ork Trukks for 28mm Pig Iron Ferals.

.....or how Valentines Day kept giving.

You may remember how I got a Games Workshop WH40K Strormraven Gunship as a present for valentines day but a couple of days later I got another one as an illness present from a very good friend (Bell's Palsy has some benefits:D) but I didn't want 2 gunships so I brought back mine to the shop (with SWMBO permission) and they gave me these 2 Ork Trukk models for the same price (£20.50 each, good grief I thought) but they are excellent little kits with loads of potential for bodging (angry scratchbuilding) and I posted some pics for scale and size comparisons with 28mm Pig Iron feral miniatures if you ever thought of being this weird, they are great kits and as I said you don't have to follow all the instructions in the box.

28mm Pig Iron Feral Miniatures for scale comparison.

Some of the extra pieces are from WH40K Ork Dreadnought pieces I had left over, plasticard, WH40K Valkyrie pieces, an old crow piece and 1/48 scale WW2 sandbags (probably a bit big but it's called bodging).

What they look like on the box or after follwimg the exact instructions.

  3. @ A Daft Scots Lass - We all live with that idea every day.

Ork trukks are definitely expensive, especially in relation to the points value in the game. I hope no Ork player ever builds them according to the instructions though - that'd be wrong..! I love the sandbags too. With the scale of the miniatures these are absolute monsters. Really scary machines.

  8. I thought 'Bodging' was a criminal offence? Maybe I'me getting my words mixed up. Anyway, nice models. Look forward to seeing these painted to your usual high standard.

  15. Those are very cool. Fit in perfectly with the Ferals and would work well for Post-Apocalypse, too.

  18. Bodging rhymes with fogging!!?? Anyway...according to Harold Budwinson (728-797AD) both acts...especially involving revolving blades are punishable...so those great looking vehicles will get you a small fine at the very least.
    Cheers
