20mm Painted Type 28A WW2 British Anti-Tank Bunker.

A painted 2 pounder anti-tank bunker from Frontline Wargaming for my What If Operation Sealion project, currently painting some other types of bunkers, tanks and German invasion barges for the project. A Fallschirmjager platoon has been finished and just needs to be based, finally got my Jones butcher van to carry the boys from the Home Guard plus a Smith Gun for them?

Pictures below plus pictures of an actual Type 28A bunker located at Dun Mill Lock on the Kennet and Avon Canal, near Hungerford, Berkshire.

  1. Rather nice model and its amazing how many there are still around the country.

Always have in mind two I saw on either side of a bridge leading to a village in Shropshire. Would make for a good what if game.

  6. Very nice. I have a bunker kit on my own "to-do" pile -- your post is just the inspiration I needed to go get started on it.

  10. That bunker seems rather eerie. Maybe it's just my imagination.

  11. A good film to watch is The Outpost, which you can see on Youtube.

Lots of nasty WW2 German bods still lurking around a bunker long after the war.

  21. I really can't wait to see the results of your Operation Sea Lion campaign! My money is on the Brits however, I don't think it would've been possible for Hitler to take the entire British Isles. Although, who knows? Like I said, I am very much looking forward to seeing the results of your campaign.

  23. Hey man.
I feel kind of terrible. You featured me in your blogroll, sending me tons of traffic, and then I stopped posting. Just letting you know that I'm back to it.

  26. Awesome work. I've always found that table top gaming stuff fascinating just for that option of painting your own stuff. I used to love looking at that stuff in comic book stores when I was a kid but my dad never bought me anything like that.
