20mm WW2 Scale Operation Sealion Die-Cast Trucks?

Picked these up last week and they are a slightly larger scale but I think they will fit in with my 20mm WW2 Operation Sealion project which had stalled literally because I'd stopped painting due to a yearly funk (where you look at figures and go blaaaagh) but I've painted some vehicles and figures and will have pictures up next week (Home Guard, German armour, German staff officers, British police officers and an ARP Warden Hodges among others).

I think these will work well as they are British companies that were around at the time, 20mm figures to show size comparison.

  4. Very cool. Operation Sealion is one of my favorite what-ifs of history. I used to play scenarios out back in the day with Steel Panthers WW2 - loads of fun.

  6. The guys have said everything I'm thinking. These would make perfect interactive terrain. Sorry about the funk too - I get that a fair bit.

  7. The vehicles will be perfect. Personally I would want to dull things down a bit though. They have that factory fresh look.

  18. There is a die cast Jones the butcher van out there somewhere. Hope your going to have some of the special opps home guard who were meant to hide in underground hideouts and knock off Jerry as and when?

  22. As a guy who has a soft spot for old trucks, I love these miniatures. I'll take any of them -- full sized or mini.

  24. They look ok to me, but it's sod's law, usually it's too big for 20mm, too small for 28mm.

Get over to GWP and the Edward VIII lounge, there's a sticky for 20mm VBCW stuff that will be ideal for for you as it's mostly early WW2 related anyway.

  29. If those are trucks, then what are "lorries," ever since my Airfix British 8th Army with the gun and lorry, I thought those were what lorries were.
