20mm WW2 German Painted Fallschirmjager Casualties......

.......mortars and drop canisters.

The last of my Fallschirmjager until I paint 2 Frontline wargaming gliders (not a priority at the moment), I love casualty figures even though there no real use in the game other than eye candy, they cost the same as fighting poses but I think you need them if they make them, AB figures again and they're best set also the 8cm mortars and the drop canisters are from SHQ.

Pictures are the usual quality.

  2. I do like to see all the clutter and dead and wounded figs on a games table. Cool

  3. These are great Angry, top notch effort mate, the corpses are excellent.

  4. They're looking pretty good. I agree that they should be included even if just as eye candy.

  6. Love the vietnam-posed casualty guy. He seems to think "why I'm not in Platoon ?".

  7. WHO!! Painted these??? I think there may be a little exaggeration in the "I", you dirty rat!!!

  8. I agree, with Paul Darnell too. Casualty figures are one of those elements that bring a table to life, and modelled markers in general can help explain a lot visually, show the flow of events.

  9. As an ATZ player I'm all for putting corpses on a gaming table. I'd love to see more figure companies making them.I definitely approve of what you're doing, Fran.

  10. Those are great. I really like the fact that you add these types of "color" figures into your collection. They must give your table a lot of atmosphere. I'm still working on collections just sufficient to "play the game," but I plan to get around doing casualty figs and the like as well -- I think they really add a lot.

  11. The AB figures are great - I love the mortar teams. I think I'd prefer 20mm but I've (foolishly) invested in 28mm. Great painting and basing too Angry.

    Cheers,
    Doc

  13. There was a time I loathed buying dead guysbut, I have changed sides. They DO make the table look better and I use them as markers whenever I can. I hate those ring things that people use!!

  14. I agree, casualties, wounded and corpses really spice up the game table. It is a shame there is not more variety and availability of these.

    Yours look fantastic.

  15. Faultless work, and nice attention to detail.

    Regards Paul

  16. You've painted those? I can see some nice detail, quite fine. I think you needed more weapons though, if you could manage to add exquisit detail to the guns, the whole thing would look way better.

  18. Very nicely done - I really like the two guys carrying the one fella, and the other guy that is sitting with blood dripping down from his head. Looks quite shell shocked!

When are you planning on having this game?

  20. Beauty is in details Fran!
If it was only for fighting figures, I would buy some GIJo's action figures!
    Great work!

  28. Glad to see you are making these part of your project. For the most part, these added details are always late additions to my projects.

  29. It's funny, I don't remember ever seeing injured action figures. Except ones I created!

  30. So cool, do those get used in game or are they just for added detail?

  31. Hey Lurk. Just popped in. Off from the restaurant today. Wanted to say howdy. Neat little dudes you got there. Feel bad for the guy with the head wrap. Looks painful.

  32. The piece where they're carrying a guy looks like it be hard to paint but you seem to have done it with no problems at all. :P

  33. Well made. Eyes look a bit strange, but it's probably hard to do those properly, or maybe the photo's just blurry.

  34. Eye candy, casualty marker or whatever, I do like those extra's on the table as well. Good stuff

  35. Fabulous stuff there Mr Lurker, great work indeed.

  36. lmfao yeah rite, no minor detail left behind eh

  37. Lovely figs indeed!

Cas figs also make for a great scenario - fight you way in to rescue to cut off squad then drag out the casualties

  38. they look pretty healthy to me.

  39. Great stuff! What rules are you using with these guys?

  40. Awesome figs! Looking forward to seeing more of your amazing artistic talent.

  41. Ray has amazing artistic talent and some of the temperament that comes with it. Of course much credit is due. I wonder whether he is part French, if not all French, or at least Norman?

A careful parsing of the grammar does not show any exaggeration in the first person pronoun, just looks forward to painting the gliders, in due time. I wonder whether it might be feasible to make some up from paper or wood or something.
