15mm Painted Critical Mass Games Sci-Fi Buildings....

.......or not only do the dice gods feck with you but then the fecking painting gods come and urinate in your cereal bowl! There's a clue in the last two pictures, anyway lovely buildings I got for my birthday and other sources, great company with an excellent after service.

Lovely pieces of kit with nice detail on the interior and exterior......

Just a hint of peeling.....

....and another!

It may have been where I stored them, I may leave it to show sci-fi neglect on a planet, maybe it's time for a new period and scale and a challenge but that's for tomorrow!

  1. They look great, Fran I'm being really thick today I don't get it no matter how hard I look at the last few pictures.

  2. Nice pieces of terrain you got there Fran.
Perhaps you could use some superglue on the peeling areas and overpaint it as rusted/wasted parts of the terrain piece.

  3. Nice work on these, but I think the peeling of the floorboards on that one piece gives it some character though. Might just be me though..

  6. Nice Buildings. Turn the accident to your advantage. Maybe there is an alien plant growing at the support of the liquid container (aquarium plant in orange and purple) and maybe the floor has had some form of Blast damage (quick bit of wash/drybrush fixes it).

Or say nothing and let Ray pick it up and then accuse him. Oh you can't he'll read this!!!

  10. Is it only the white undercoat that's peeled?

    1. Perhaps it was resin, look at the trouble we had with the landing pad.

  11. Nice job on those. Sorry about the paint peeling. Took me a while to see it on the last picture.

  14. Nice acquisition, SG [Supreme General]! Your supply officer is to be commended. Also, the floor damage in the one bldg...put a couple of traffic cones around it with a tool or two scattered about...and you have a designated work repair area.

  15. I think they look good. The peeling paint is annoying, but like my neighbor says "If it's a problem, make it a feature." (He's in the high end AV industry. I'm with Clint on this a few washes and it will look like somebody forgot their periodic scheduled maintenance.

  18. Clearly God is out to get you Fran. First it was the varnish incident, then the Dettol and now this. There's only one way to make it stop and that's to confess the sin of dot dot dotting me.

  19. Nice buildings, peeling paint is annoying but can be dealt with.
Ray on the other hand seems to know an awful lot about this.

  20. appart from the peeling these are increadibly nice buildings. there are a few ways to fix the peeling and I think any that will allow to to perhaps get a damaged look will be very good.

  22. They look great there Fran and the peeling actually adds to them

  23. I love their buildings, probably my favorite 15mm scifi buildings. odd about the peeling- I'm guessing their release agent was especially concentrated and just needed more cleaning before priming. inside could always throw a rug over it ;)

  30. Or do like Conrad Kinch did when his mate stomped through the house floor, and install a trap door there, under a table and rug.
