15mm Sci-Fi Colonial Marine Command from Oddzial Osmy....

....and GZG plus my pension fund from Sir Michael Awdry at  28mm Victorian Warfare!

Top brass for my colonial marines, figures are from Oddzial Osmy with GZG robot bodyguards, lovely looking figures but by the rings of Saturn a fecker to clean up (hard as steel) but eventually worth it!

Now onto my pension fund, I won these figures of Zulu legends Lt John Chard and Lt Gonville Bromhead (from Michael at his excellent blog, go visit) who commanded at Rorke's Drift and played by by Stanley Baxter and Michael Caine in said movie, Michael is a quality artist whose work should rise in value tenfold and hence my retirement fund.

I also got this medal and the artist's provenance to authenticate his work, I 'll have to get him to sign it when I see him at Salute......Sir!!!

  2. Nice work - I like the look of the officer in the middle. The miniatures seem to have quite good details for 15mm scale.

    Cheers,
    Thomas

  9. Haha - yeah, I don't know what kind of metal Oddzial Osmy uses for their minis but it is tough stuff! I wish my car were made of it. I've fouled up a few XActo blades on their Pico Armor minis - thankfully their minis are usually very clean casts.

  15. That is a good looking retirement fund there. Remember, the price goes up if he's no longer alive. Just something you might want to consider.

  22. The robot body guards made me smile; don't they always betray you in the end?
The Chard and Bromhead figures are way cool; good fortune there; however, I suggest a retirement fund, just in case.

  33. Love the Roarke's Drift figures. ZULU was one of my favorite movies growing up. Last night I watched DOG Soldiers, a rather routine horror flick in which a section of UK infantry on maneuvers in Scotland get hunted by a family of werewolves. They hole up in a house and there are lots of references to ZULU.
