15mm Franonian National Guard or the FNG!

Men and women of the Franonian National Guard (FNG) from Peter Pig and not what it meant in Vietnam (well maybe!).

These citizens have joined the FNG to thwart the rise of Rayonian tyranny and betrayal!

  1. Those look great. Nice and simple. Any chance we can get a shot of the whole lot you have painted so far?

  5. The citizens of Meltown approve! (And ha! That's kind of awesome...Mel for me...and it sounds like Motown...because I live there...you are a damned genius. I am slow on the uptake...its the midnight shifts.)

  7. their kit looks remarcably like that of the oronegrean forces (the hat). I wonder what country they really represent... as your embassy will need guards from franonia

  11. Peace through superior fire power! People criticise the AK47, but when you have a lot of them, some are bound to hit.

    Nice paint job there!

  12. Beware Ray!
    Frans are coming!
Excellent work mate. The khaki went really nice on them.

  13. Those well-armed guys will make it! Really nice first unit.

But... To be honest... I don't like the flag that much. In combination with the khaki shirts those brave Franonian guardsmen remember me of a despicable unit unit of beaters that spread terror within Germany's darkest years in history...
    :-(

    Sorry for that association, Fran.
I'm sure you didn't mean to create this resemblance.

But nevertheless I'm joyfully looking at Fanonia.

    Cheers

  22. You actually have a national guard? I'm surprised your citizens love you enough. Unless joining is mandatory.

  35. Good job Fran, they have a NG look about them.

I like the fact they do not wear DPM or tinpots, it touts out to the unbelievers "Look at me I am here and not scared or hiding, deal with it!"

The AK also cries out the budget in action.

    Well done.

  41. Whoever came up with the idea of the citizen-soldier was a very smart man. A good way to save money and have disposable troops before sending in the professionals!

  42. I bow to the courage of the brave men and women of Franonia!
