Inspiring Picture 38: Being a Drummer and.....

...for Anne's Attic and her anniversary and competition over at her blog because of course she is a drummer as well!

Deep down we nearly all want to be drummers well especially the boys!

Back on Friday day shifts and look after yourselves until then if you can?

  6. I think the baby with the blocks is exactly how my wife sees me! At least she finds it amusing and not a problem so I should be content with that I suppose....

  9. Funny! (Mind you, I'm a guitarist who's constantly amazed at what my drummer mate can, well, drum!)

  10. That's pretty funny...my dad played drums in a band when I was a kid, and my brother followed suit. I just always sang (except for that little stint when I was REALLY young and I had to play the clarinet. Right now I have a pink bass to learn to play. One of these days.

And Friday...what the hell? You are totally gonna miss the bacon wrapped piece of heaven I have planned for tomorrow...

  24. I love air drumming along to songs! and I'm working on a character who is a drummer, in one of my short stories - thanks for the research material!!

  26. I went to college with a famous drummer, well he was a session drummer so he worked with all these famous bands. He said the worst thing was watching the equipment because its really expensive and stuff gets stolen all the time. I wish i had some musical talent, but after spending most of my teenage years trying to learn and failing to play the guitar i have accepted im rubbish.I like that collage of images it did make me smile.

  27. Great picture! Very amusing! I've never been in a band but from what I've heard thats quite spot on!!

ps how does the keyboardist see the drummer?!

  28. drummers get no respect. a good one goes unnoticed and a bad one ruins a band

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'd say it's good to be the drummer too. Except that usually, they seem to be the first guys in the rock band to die! All that pressure of knowing that if the rest of the band are out of time, they'll say YOU were the one out og time. Eedjits! Everybody knows you keep time with the drummer!

  31. Great post Fran - so freakin' true (from what I remember from my dim distant past)

Q: How can you tell if the stage is level?

A: The drool comes over the drummer's bottom lip rather than the corner of his mouth!
