20mm Painted WW2 British Infantry Platoon.

British infantry platoon painted up for the What If? Operation Sealion gaming, figures are mostly SHQ (which were awful sculpts, so much flash and distortion........ ) and some Blitz Miniatures (good stuff)...

....picture quality is the usual poor quality but I think it's for the best as these are not Ray's best work!

20mm WW2 Painted British 6pdr Platoon.

The last bits of the Operation Sealion Project are just about done and the British are done, the figures are a mixture of SHQ (not brilliant and horrible flash), Blitz Miniatures (very nice figures) and the guns are from Britannia Miniatures.

The platoon has a couple of trucks for transport (which I forgot to include) and is based for the rules European Battlefield.......now Ray painted these but I based them (is that okay Ray?).

More of these will be coming up over the next few days or so (I hope) including MMG platoon, Mortar platoon, infantry platoon. tanks, trucks and military police.......

The pictures I took are horrible and these were the best.......

WW2 20mm Painted Bachmann Garage 00 scale.

One of the 00 scale buildings I got for my birthday last month, these are better than Hornby but a little more expensive, it's from the Bachmann Scenecraft 00 scale range but will fit in nicely in the English countryside.

A couple of pictures for scale purposes, figure is a 20mm from SGTS Mess.

20mm Painted WW2 Refugees finished.

Have finished the rest of the refugees for my WW2 period, can be used for any nation and for a lot of other modern 20th century periods I suppose as well.

Civilians were the losers in most wars.

Miniatures are from SGTS Mess and CP Models.

20mm WW2 German Painted Fallschirmjager Casualties......

.......mortars and drop canisters.

The last of my Fallschirmjager until I paint 2 Frontline wargaming gliders (not a priority at the moment), I love casualty figures even though there no real use in the game other than eye candy, they cost the same as fighting poses but I think you need them if they make them, AB figures again and they're best set also the 8cm mortars and the drop canisters are from SHQ.

Pictures are the usual quality.

20mm WW2 German Fallschirmjager Support Weapons.

Some support weapons to bolster the platoon with a couple of MG34s, 10.5cm LG40/1 Recoilless guns, some panzerfausts and panzerschreck (if the war drags on into the mid war period), kettenkrades for towing the recoilless guns.
Nearly everything is AB figures again with the kettenkrades and recoilless guns from SHQ miniatures, I think the artillery crew shells may be a bit big for the recoilless guns but I want to be able to use different artillery pieces if I have to, again painted by Ray and finished by myself (I think there may be some issue with some colours but it wasn't for the lack of research).
I will have one more post next week with more support including 8cm mortars, drop canisters and casualties.

Anyone selling a really well painted 20mm or 1:72 scale German Fallschirmjager glider or two cheaply??????:D
Pictures are the usual quality, apologies.

20mm Painted WW2 German Fallschirmjager Platoon

A early war German paratrooper platoon for dropping in on the south coast of England, veterans of Belgium and France, Ray painted these and I finished them, more to come as I finish mortars, MG34s, artillery and casualties.
The majority of figures are AB Figures with a few SHQ Miniatures aswell.

20mm 00 scale Hornby Buildings for WW2?

This is an 00 scale (1:76 scale, 20mm is 1:72 scale) pre painted Hornby Skaledale railway model building and I'm thinking of using a couple for my Operation Sealion project to show rural England, what do you think of them, as far as I know you can't take the roofs off any of them, there is no internal detail but I think they look alright if they're a good price and the first building should always be a pub.

What are you having?

20mm figures for scale purposes.

The good old Masons Arms

20mm WW2 Painted Operation Sealion German Fishing or Tug Boat.

Some invasion barges were not motorised and would need help crossing the channel, so fishing or tug boats and other craft were used, this boat is from Frontline Wargaming and should be the last of my fleet aspirations due to costs.
