My good friend Vinnie funded the kickstarter Aliens vs Predator from Prodos Games a couple of years ago and recently it has started being delivered. He has got his initial release of two complete sets of the board game and then got some of the extras he funded but included were two more of the complete boardgame as a bonus/freebie because of the long wait..........but to cut things short he sent me one!

23 resin miniatures, 15 aliens, 3 predators and 5 colonial marines plus , rules, cards, tiles,  etc...........

Magic Painting Table, 900 points Painting Challenge, Pot Noodles and Boobs anyone?

The painting challenge starts this Sunday for 60 fellow lunatics and 1 chief lunatic (Curt himself) in his 4th Annual Analogue Hobbies Challenge......

My painting has suffered a little in the last 6 months in output so I thought the challenge might be a good way to light a little flame of colour into my hobby and have started to do a little at work on night shifts in readiness for the challenge.........900 points here we come!

I received these miniatures and socks from Lord Siwoc from his blog "Brains and Guts"........

The socks herald back to an incident when Ray won yet another prize from the same blog and a certain pair of socks went missing and ended up on a certain appendage and Ray refused them after that........

Mr R Lee sent me a figure for the masters collection which is a lovely sci-fi beauty.....

BLOG-CON draws closer and Dettol Wars....The Animated Movie!

BLOG-CON draws closer (75 days now) and the excitement is building well Ray even mentioned spending some money and that was exciting to me and news to his missus, go visit the link and spread the joy and the reminder........

Previously only in written form here, then Hollywood called........well Pat and Anne did and sent myself and Ray this video, I have no problem with this video other than my voice (sounds like somebody with an elastic band around his crackers or Ray in the crapper) which some people will tell you is like an Irish tenor with a hundred cigarettes a day habit and chews gravel.........but deeper.......okay anyway..........

The legend that is 6milphil and some of the lovely stuff from his 28mm Slug Industries company, great stuff on the site (modern, VBCW etc....), I tried to convince him that his 28mm RV model would sell well in 15mm, great chat with the man about casting and the costs of getting miniatures cast......... 

I ended up with the lovely pack of resin models which leads me on to the great idea that James "Great Idea" Brewerton has come up with about lead piles of miniatures and swapping stuff to get other stuff but anyway click on the link and join the community but then he came up with another great idea........

Some movies I've seen or caught up on recently..........

(2 STARS) but interesting to find out how Gettysburg was really won.......

(2 STARS) and that's really only for the epic scene of the White House under attack...........

(3 STARS) but didn't rock my world, I think The Avengers movie with all the super heroes for one price has spoiled us, Ben Kingsley was good though...........

When I get up every morning I switch on the computer and go job hunting and blog reading but can't help switching on the TV, arse water for a lot of it including Jeremy Kyle and some of the stuff on the discovery channels but I am thinking of buying a few storage lockers!

 Bryan Scott aka Vampifan is slowly recovering according to his brother, all our good wishes go out to our friend!
