My Favourite Games Workshop WH40K figure but maybe not the best painted!

"Space Marine Terminator Captain"

Digging around the man cave when I found a box folder with my favourite models in 40K, the Terminators of the Space Marines, the new stuff is lovely but these in my opinion were the best, I have had most of these for quite a while (back when my chapter The Dark Angels were black!), it's a static pose but a pose of authority......

........most of them have been nitromor's a few times and repainted a few times (the last time was many years ago but still my favourites, not even on proper 40K bases but they were for another set of rules once that didn't happen.........maybe it's time to get the Dettol!!!!!!!

He had a few friends.......

.....and a few more!

What the hell he got a few more, I think the chaplain is the newest?

15mm figures posing as 28mm figures: Terminators

Wanted to add some bits and pieces to my 28mm terminator forces but could not find anything I liked or could afford(£60.00 for a painted HK tank) in 28mm, so while at SELWG I picked up some 15mm pieces from GZG and painted them up to go with what I had and I think they work with the 28mm Copplestone Castings terminators in the pictures.
The big boy is a 15mm VTOL, the double gun boys are listed as gunbots and the little boys with aerials(the aerials are paper clips) are listed as wheeled drone with sensors.I mean to use them as remote guarding drones for facilities or urban areas.

Wargaming models, what's acceptable?

Spent part of the day making this 15mm VTOL model I bought from GZG games at the SELWG 2010 show, it was an impulse buy and I am or was going to use it with my 28mm terminators as a hunter killer gunship variant, so I bought one with the idea if it looked alright with the 28mm stuff I already have I would get more.So far so good.

It was a terrible model to make, heavy mold lines, lots of flash, parts of the model where the metal had not formed and a lot of holes where I do not think there should be anyway, which with application of green stuff and copious superglue I put it together and took a picture. One of the engine pieces developed metal fatigue and the plug that inserts into the body fell off which required green stuff.

There were no instructions(you do not always get them) so I used a picture from the website to use as a guide, there is no flying stand(you do not always get them) but that model in the picture appears to be in better condition than mine in my opinion. Now I am not the best model maker in the world but this has annoyed me and I will try and sort out the problems with it and probably still use it.What i am trying to say is am I too fussy and would you accept bad quality in any model you purchased.

Do you have a better horror story about something like this and what you are willing to put up with?

28mm Painted Terminators.

The new MAIB's are showcased to the waiting world as the answer to the zombie threat.

General Louis"Mad Dog"McKinnon at the head of the new project he has been in charge of for 10 years.

Massive support and command MAIB vehicles loom over proceedings.

The young scientist who stepped in recently to hurry development of the MAIB's and his questionable design of the ground command MAIB.

MAIB: Military Artificial Intelligence Bot.

Have always liked the copplestone 28mm terminators and got some from my birthday list but then you realise they are an easy paint job but in what role do you use them, you can go down the movie road and have characters from the movies which I will probably do or I will go with the zombie route for the moment. The story will be that these MAIB's were put into production years ahead of schedule in an answer to the zombie infestation on the planet(some say too early) and will wipe out the infestation with little risk to humans. There have been some glitches with the bots not always doing what they were programmed to do and there have been human casualties but the goverment denies any lasting issues and hails this as a great step forward and the newly formed company CYBERDENE.

The terminators or bots are copplestone, while the support vehicles are Star Wars tank droids, a hasslefree scientist, general and assistant from copplestone and ground support bot from Foundry. Will pick up some more bots from EM4 at SELWG and maybe a hunter killer from the terminator:salvation kits on Ebay.
