WW2 20mm Painted Greatcoat German Squad.

I have added a 4th squad to my early war German platoon and I feel these guys are wearing more appropriate clothing for the south coast of England (definitely for the Soviet Union), models are from CP models and are lovely except some of them come in pieces and with my hand shovels this caused some light swearing for a little while!

  1. I didn't know any of these came in pieces. I would need help with that and I've small hands. These are nice. Love the coats and the finish on them makes them shiny. Have a Happy Christmas Angry. I'll see you guys again next week.

  15. Another great looking set of minis, Fran. I wish I could paint like that. I can't wait to see pics of the table when you start playing Operation Sealion. I imagine it will be stunning.

  16. this reminds me of my childhood, i used to play with toy soldiers, tanks and helicopters and have always enjoyed creating my own imaginative war with them. however, since moved i had no idea where those guys are now.

  18. More beautifully painted figures, Fran.

A bit of light swearing you say? I can just imagine you saying, "oh drat!" or "botheration!" or "flipping heck, that hasn't gone to plan!" Heh, heh, yeah, perhaps in Bizarroworld!

  43. Very cool, I have a plastic set here of American and German both in greatcoats from Revell for the Battle of the Bulge that would mostly fit in, some have the later war weapons of course. It's that Bulge time of year right now. On the evells only the MGs need any assembly.

Some have hoods instead of helmets. The winter is making me wonder about British winter and what would be good for Norwegians of 1940. Thought there was an old Lassie movie set there, I notice they don't show those like they used to do.
