Just a post to prove I'm alive, even to prove it to myself, life has just been a little fecked up, things are getting me down but who can say that doesn't happen to us once in a while........
These are some Games Workshop Ork Killa Kans found in a drawer from a previous project and hey presto you have the beginnings of the Orkmacht, an ork army with fascist tendencies?
A few balkenkreuz later and we have the beginnings of something weird, maybe wrong, who cares, there will be a backstory. ......and Ray will sigh!
I do still visit and read blogs but more lurkerish at the moment, thanks for reading.
They actualy look more menacig this way. Good job on them!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes...That part about life? I know that feeling....
I totally agree. Nice to see you might be back. It was a bit sad not hearing someone bitching about Ray ;)
DeleteHe does enough bitching for the two of us.
DeleteSigh......................?
DeleteStop it now.
DeleteLurking has not affected the quality of your work Fran.
ReplyDeleteTop notch mate.
Thanks Paul.
DeleteThose are wicked, Fran!
ReplyDeleteYou are the Angry Lurker - what can we expect but some lurking?
Hope things start looking up.
They might Alex?
DeleteThey look great. Very nicely done. Life has a way of getting us down. Good luck with the blues.
ReplyDeleteYou're right sir.
DeleteVery nice bit of painting here Mr Lurker!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rodger!
DeleteGreat to hear you're still with us Fran! The KK's look superb, maybe a bit too pristine... if I might make a suggestion it'd be that you whether the Balkenkreuz decals a bit. Part of life is being down, that's what makes getting up from our knees such a wonderful feeling right ;-) So lurk all you can by all means and then when you're ready return with a vengeance okay?
ReplyDeleteMuch appreciated Sander.
DeleteYes, you are alive!!! Really nice to read again your entries.
ReplyDeleteGreat painting work in these different... panzers!
Welcome back, my friend!!!
Thanks Juan.
Deleteoooh, those are ubber cool, Fran!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that Dez!
DeleteGreat work on your Kans! Crazy bits like this make 40K very tempting.
ReplyDeleteIt was the weird appeal that got me going.
DeleteGlad you're still alive, and I hope things get better soon! The minis look cool, and the "Orkmacht" sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris.
DeleteGreat models and a very interesting paint job. In one of the old `ere we go books from GW there was a mentioning of this Nazi Style Orks.....paint more please I cannot wait to see some more.
ReplyDeleteMore on the way.
Delete"Orkmacht" is clever and the models look very good! They remind me of headless roasting chickens ready for the oven! Glad we have confirmation that you are not dead yet!
ReplyDeleteKeep fighting the good fight.
Amen brother!
DeleteThat is one big gun, awesome job.
ReplyDeleteSo the angry lurker, lurks? Can't say you didn't warn people at least lol
Very true Pat.
DeleteVery, very cool models, Fran. They look like they'd work in multiple game scenarios.
ReplyDeleteI can only hope for once.
DeleteVery cool! Those remind me of some of the first GW 40K Orks. Keep on bloggin brother!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cory.
DeleteI really like what you've done with them, Fran. You have been missed and I welcome you back. I wish you all the best and I send my kindest regards.

DeleteHey, nice to have you back Fran! Those cans are mighty cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonas.
DeleteYou were missed at the Shed of war today. But you couldn't make it so John filled your spot. You had the chance of attacking Ray or Postie or even Big Lee! Still never mind.
ReplyDeleteI do like your killa kans.
Hope to see you next week at Skirmish!
Take care mate and stay cool and groovy. And if you need anything I am an email away!
Thanks old boy.

DeleteExcellent work dude!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, Nazi Orks, love it.
I find when life gets you down a massive spliff works wonders, you then enter the fuck it zone.
Thanks Bob.

ReplyDeleteHail Franonia Jay!
DeleteVery nice use of these minis!
ReplyDeleteThank you sir.
DeleteI love the idea of the "Orkmacht"...the right mix of brutality and stupidity wrapped in a warped ideology...and housed in an armored dreadnought! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteHope things work out for you at the moment and maybe we'll get to meet up for a game soon?
Sidcup next Sunday?
DeleteGood to see you're still there and painting.
ReplyDeleteVery nice result !

ReplyDeleteThanks Elsie.
DeleteCool stuff Fran - Orks must be Nazis right?
ReplyDeleteHope whatever has you in the dumps turns around quickly!
Thanks mate.
DeleteThe blood on that robot's drill is just beyond menacing and awesome. I love it. And don't let life get you down - it's always fucked up, just in varying degrees of fucked-up-edness. It'll be less fucked up soon, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteThanks boys!
DeleteThose looks great. I look forward to see what you do with them.
ReplyDeleteSo do I?
DeleteGreat to see you posting again, let's just hope Ray hasn't got a super-secret giant tinopener for these beauties to face !
ReplyDeleteThey'll fix his hash big time!
DeleteExcellent work Francis. Keep your powder dry. The worm will turn my friend. It always does.
ReplyDeleteThanks Curt old boy.
DeleteHi Big Man and I am sorry to here life is fecking you around, a right pain but I hope it get better for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI like the Killa Cans and they have the feel of the Paul Bonners illustrations for GW back in the day and are looking damn good.
Thanks Pete.
DeleteReally great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Trey.
DeleteLooks great Fran... Das Waaaargh!. Hang in there buddy. We cannot always control what happens in life, but we do have control over how we respond, as difficult as it may seem at the time. Hope things work out for you sir
ReplyDeleteThanks for that kind sir.
DeleteThey look really rather good. Colour reminds me a bit of the old Britains Kubelwagens and stuff. Can't wait to see how your other plans for the Orkmacht work out!
ReplyDeleteBlitzkrieg on onwards......
DeleteHope things start looking upper soon :)
ReplyDeleteThanks mate.
DeleteThis is going to be fun. I like the look.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, you know what they say, "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger." Don't let it kill you...
Nice one Mike!
DeleteReal nice figures. Are they scratchbuilt? I am planning to build some mechas of my own very soon. The SoTR-game is very nice allowing to build own models and using them on the gamingtable. :)
ReplyDeleteGames Workshop for the kans and Kromlech for the figures!
DeleteI don't think I would like to run into them. They look unpleasant. Makes me think of alien robot invaders.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear, it's the effect I wanted.
DeleteDamn near ork transformers. Hmm, going for the modern look??
ReplyDeleteModernish?
DeleteNo, I've changed my mind. Your's are scarily futuristic.
DeleteRight you are!
DeleteThat new top photo is a bit scary. Looks too close to a burka. Ooh.
DeleteYohei (Samurai Monk) from the 16th century I believe?
DeleteAbsolutely brilliant, these work really well! Definitely has that "Iron Sky" feel for want of a better term.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that sir.
DeleteNo worries, and if things are a bit fecked up right now, well it's never permanent and makes the good bits of life all the more enjoyable. Anyhoo, hope all gets better soon sir!
DeleteLove that top photo of Death three times over...excellent choice Fran
ReplyDeleteNice one Captain.
DeleteLife's had it's foot on my neck of late but seeing these beauties has really cheered me up thanks Fran! I can't wait to see these guys get their feet on Ray's neck!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to it too Robert.
DeleteDigging your new header Fran. My favourite saying is "I will gnaw on the skulls of my enemies" I'd have that tattooed on my arse, but thankfully my arse isn't quite that big :0)
ReplyDeleteI only have your word for that cailin:P
DeleteI really like the weathering on these! Excellent work Fran!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
