Putting on a zombie game at the end of December/Early January for the boys from Posties Rejects, now some of the boys are a bit hesitant for anything beyond WW2 especially if its already dead but at my games I cook(pasta dish with beef, mushrooms, onions, cream, parmesan, white wine) and it convinces them its in their best interest to be supportive. So I gathered my zombies together and took a picture and you see the pictures of the 87 or possibly 88( I forgot the exact number).I have 8 more ragers from west wind but I am not happy with them and may replace them with mantic ghouls I have somewhere, I have 1 or 2 more on order( zombie surfer from hasslefree) so I will probably reach 100 but I do not think much more as you can return casualties to the table and some of the great meglomaniacs like http://vampifansworldoftheundead.blogspot.com/ whose zombie number last stood at 525+ are an inspiration but well out of my league.
The horde is made up of studio miniatures (excellent), cold war miniatures (excellent), tengu (very good), wargames factory (ok), Four A miniatures(very good), Helldorado (very good), forget where the dogs come from though.
I use Akula's AR:SE rules, quick play, bloody and fit on 2 A4 pages.
Sort of reminds me of a wedding cake in the pics, but the couple would be horrified to find these on top.
ReplyDeleteThere's a word for this - yikes! And painting up 87 or 88 is nothing to sniff at.
ReplyDeleteAs for the food, it sounds like more than enough reason to come along. There couldn't be many games I wouldn't play for a meal like that!
Looking good! I always enjoy seeing pics of other people's zombie hordes, so thanks for sharing. Oh, and good luck with the game and thanks for the mention.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lovely horde! Can't wait to see them in action...against some players without zombie gaming experience! :o)
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing worse like unwise decisions in Z-Apocalypse. Instant bad karma.
From my point of view, with hundrer painted zeds you are a zombie megalomaniac.

A horde of zombies while eating some good food sounds like a perfect setting. The minatures look great.
ReplyDeleteMMmmmmm!! Fran’s pasta, can’t wait, you might as well just inject the cholesterol straight into my veins now.
ReplyDeleteOh yeh I forgot, WooHoo!! A zombie game too. (Yes I am being sarcastic). I told him to but WWII zombies, at least that’s only half against my religion. ;0)
oh dear lord! Nothing better than a zombie game! I'm drooling in front of these pictures haha
ReplyDeleteI spy...a zombie chicken suit!
ReplyDeleteWicked!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, totally amazing..
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and for leaving a comment. Hope to see you visit again.
Have a lovely day.
Colin.
Thats a cool looking horde, very consistent in style and painting. My zombie horde suffers in that regard from the variety of painting and basing styles that I have used oner the twelve or so years that I have been painting them. No problem like that here :)
ReplyDeleteKeep it up (and post some photos of the game on that lovely table too please).
What a horde! What a host! Food and gaming huh? I hope a good time is had by all.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant :-D
ReplyDeleteCheers
Paul
