20mm Painted Frontline WW2 Civilian Trucks.

These are from Frontline Wargaming (a lot of work to just get to this stage but as the budgie said they were cheep!) and will be used for scenery from the south coast of England to the wilds of the Soviet Union.

  1. They're looking good. Effort is worth it if the end product is good.

  2. Excellent. And the budgie is never wrong. I've picked up some 20mm early war Soviet pieces due to pricing and I am happy with the product.

  14. These look great! As soon as I saw that one trucks load could be taken off to have an empty platform I thought it would be cool if one of the soldiers was placed on it!
Do any of the other trucks have removable loads?

  21. As I never tire of telling people...if you read Gay Sejour's The Forgotten Soldier, he tell's of the time he was coming back to the front from leave in Germany (I think? He may have been returning from hospital) when he was co-opted to join a convoy or 'Zug' of 100-odd trucks heading up to the frontline through partisan-rich territory as a driver's mate/vehicle guard, and he specifically mentions a vehicle as being both British and signwritten with the details of an English removal firm!!

Presumably captured during the fall of France several years earlier. So you could get some transfers from a model railway supplier and still sent it East!...

  24. I always like it when you include the civilians as they are part of any war. Somone commented about where you store your figures. I've often wondered the same thing.

  25. Very nice. Coincidentally I have two of those unpainted. In the plastics and tin mountain...
