The last bits of the Operation Sealion Project are just about done and the British are done, the figures are a mixture of SHQ (not brilliant and horrible flash), Blitz Miniatures (very nice figures) and the guns are from Britannia Miniatures.
The platoon has a couple of trucks for transport (which I forgot to include) and is based for the rules European Battlefield.......now Ray painted these but I based them (is that okay Ray?).
More of these will be coming up over the next few days or so (I hope) including MMG platoon, Mortar platoon, infantry platoon. tanks, trucks and military police.......
The pictures I took are horrible and these were the best.......
Can't wait till you guys play Operation Sealion. Nice weaponry here. Good stopping power in a mortar.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to some tanks man!
ReplyDeleteWeird Interesting News
Your painting surpasses the photos Fran!
ReplyDeleteGood work!
T.
Very nice indeed! Looking forward to seeing the rest, especially the military police!

ReplyDeleteVery nice, like the last shot the best too.
ReplyDeletehmmmm. are there no female soldiers in this platoon? ;)
ReplyDeleteNice paintjob. The SHQ Minis are not always bad. Some are really good, some look horrible in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThey look great mate. Can't wait to see the Sealion pics.I agree regarding the SHQ figs, though you have painted them up a treat.
ReplyDeletei don't know if you know, i have a unpainted set of indiana jones die-cast d&d styled still lurking in their box... do you know if or where this might be an interest other than say "ebay"...

ReplyDeleteNice Angry, Nothing like a bit of arty support!
ReplyDeleteNow that should make somebody's eyes water; a lovely addition.
ReplyDeleteI quite like SHQ figures. However, some of the ranges are in desperate need of new moulds.
ReplyDeleteI think your figures turned out nice in the end though.
More great minis, but when are we going to see these little guys in action?! :)

ReplyDeleteAnother great group of minis. Cameras are such a pain. I used to take great pains taking my pictures and they came out terrible. Now I just don't worry about it and I even occasionally get a good pic. :)
ReplyDeleteNice looking unit.

ReplyDeleteNice addition to the project. The 6 lber was not the main AT gun but was in limited production and distribution by mid '40. They'll fit.
