15mm Painted Modern Peter Pig US Marine Platoon.

....or my attempt at painting modern (ish) US marines for the Franonian or modern theatre, these were a nightmare to paint as there was a lot of discussion on colours on forums but they'll do me!.

A modern US marine platoon consists of normally 42 men, 3 squads of 13 men divided into 3 fireteams of 4 men and a squad leader and a platoon headquarters element of a platoon commander, platoon sergeant and a navy corpsman.

Humvees, sniper teams, casualties and medics, AAV-7A1's and air support (probably a cobra gunship) to follow.......

Just as a sidebar, I've had to delete the old blogroll as I couldn't add or delete any blogs, so I've had to go through the nearly 1000 blogs I was following and start adding again, bear with me as this will take a little while and apologies if I missed you at the moment......

  2. You're following 1000 blogs? How do you find time to do anything else?

Nicely painted figures, by the way.

  4. Nice work there Angry. IMHO, camo from any country, any time period is the hardest thing to paint. Great job with these.

  10. Nice job on those Marines. The camo looks great and what really caught my eye was the goggles. Beautiful job on those. BTW, we don't refer to Navy Corpsmen as "medics". They're Corpsmen, which is short for Hospital Corpsmen. My old job.

  13. Did you paint every pixel on the MARPAT? That must have taken forever!

  14. You are building a mini-army here. The cammo is very good; for a certain distance an US Marine is only a moving brown patch so, don´t worrie about the number of pixels.

    Best regards.
