15mm Painted Modern Government Building for Franonia.......

......needs some work!

Model is from Fieldworks and it's a bit of a beauty, it came pre-painted and distressed from Salute with others to furnish that lived in look for Franonia! Taken some pictures to show scale and interior floors!

Will be using the same city map from Zombietown USA to situate the buildings.

  1. Beautiful mate.. I know it came pre-painted but will you be adding anything to it? And it is massive in comparison as well!! Really cool mate..

    All Hail Franonia!

  3. Very nice models! The government building in particular looks most dictatorial.

  4. I looks very much like Hotel de Irlandia. I am sure your government takes better care of their own proterty. Afterall my lonely planet guide tells me the country is peaceful with very litte crime.

  5. Seriously cool! Although it does look as if Franonia may be getting a visit from the DIY SOS team! ;)

  6. As I saw the first pic I was reminded of the KDF beach resort Prora on Rügen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prora.

Some of the casts look a bit rough and sloppy but nothing that can be taken care of. Cool building, is it made of Resin?
You should give it some better paint job to match the look of your models.
Something like that for 28mm and affordable would be sweet.

    1. It's resin and could do with some TLC but we'll see!

  7. I bought a couple of the smaller buildings in this range. The casts are a little uneven but for distressed/damaged buildings it doesn't really matter that much. More importantly the scale for 15mm is spot on. Although pre painted I'll still be doing a little bit of work on mine to bring them up to standard (grass and gravel on bases, an ink wash maybe etc).

  8. Absolutely fabulous. Looking forward to seeing it in the action.

  9. I shudder at the amount of space your gear must take up! How many rooms do you use?

  10. Great looking building, looks very Cuban, which I guess was what you were aiming for.

  11. Amazing bit of terrain – look forward to seeing it again once your regime has moved in

  12. Impressive building!
I must to buy one in 10/12mm.

  13. Nice place for automatic gunfire. Franonia looks like it could use some infrastructure spending, though. ;)

  14. It's distrssed? Is that the result of it worrying about invading Rayonian forces? ;)

Definitely a suitably impressive Presidential mansion/office

  15. Thats huge!

I think its modeled after department store, Stalingrad. It was german HQ, which fits with your flag, hehe

  17. A great building Fran, you just had to buy this one, it was the best looking one!! I see my flag is being put to use??

  18. Great looking building. I'm assuming the battle damage occurred when Franonia threw off the yoke of the previous oppressive regime?

  19. beautiful, nonetheless. :)

  20. Very nice buildings those will go nice on the gaming table.

  21. This must be big, even for 15mm!
I see a nice game played in its halls....

  22. Wow, loved the disassembled pictures. Nice building, love the flag on top. Good one

  23. Blimey! You could play an entire scenario in the 'Government' building alone, room clearing :)

  24. call me if you need an interior designer LOL

  25. Looks like it could surely tell a story or two, great job.

  26. Wow...this brings back memories of a relative who was detained in that building for questioning. Actually, I have neither seen nor heard from him again.

  27. Love the battle worn look!

  28. I think you should turn it over as the Rayonnian Embassy and go for a more Bijou residence. The only 'pzazz' that building has seen is the sound a RPG makes as it fires. Something more splendid is required.

Let's face it your loyal citizens are only going to throw rotten fruit and petrol bombs at the Rayonnian Embassy anyway.. it's come pre-disastered.

Nice model btw. Have you thought about adding a page on here for the Franonia project? I think it would be quite awesome!

  31. nice building! It looks super useful. Take care - Cory

  32. Wow it does look like it needs a lot of work. I had no idea you got bombed so much. It also looks a lot like the White House to me.

  33. I would love to see an entire zombietown miniatures town !!! Complete with little tiny edible Brains!!! That would be awesome!!!

  34. Surely it needs a great public renovation work to glorify it. And of course a suitably impressive statue outside.

  35. That is an awesome looking building! A great place for a general to over look his troops!

  36. Very unusual piece, it looks good as it is although you must fancy adding bits, graffitis, dust etc....

  37. I've seen that model appear in a few Eastern front games and thought it looked a cool piece of kit. I have wondered if you could get away with it for 20mm. Any chance you can try it for size with your 20mm figs?

  38. Quite a nice big building. Lots of potential there. Needs some big draping national banners.

  39. Gorgeous and pre-painted to. Bonus needs the Franonian flag though

  40. great. but I still prefer scratch built stuff

  41. Nice purchase there, mon ami! I think it should suite quite well as the Franonian 'Ministry of Ambivalence':P.

  42. A great model, very useful, but Is it the state of your Palace? Franonia has a problem with its economy...

  43. yo, paint it in black, man

  44. I like the General strutting his stuff outside, who would dare attack him?. Lovely colours to it, they really compliment the sense of it being a building under attack. I like reading how much effort people put in to these tournaments, they seem to resist the efforts of computer games and exist along side them.

  45. Thats a nice building there and a fitting building for your empire to be ruled from.

  46. The textured cement look is awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  47. That's a huge terrain peice. Very nice.

  48. A lot of fun to be had there!

  49. Rough coup;e of days for the Hubby, so I'm dreadfully late.

Love this building. I'd like to see some manned gatling guns and snipers in the windows. The roof would be a great place for anti-aircraft weapons and some missile launchers. There's room on that roof for a helipad and a chopper for the personal use of the Great Dictator Fran. Good to see you having fun.
