15mm Painted GameCraft MDF Multi-Storey Car Park for...........

......modern or zombie gaming in Franonia.

I use the term multi lightly but it's still more than one level, I painted this up to be a little derelict (it's the same colour as the the one near where I live, I think it will work well as a refuge as long as you block up those ramps. One thing that grates is the joins between the levels which I suppose you're meant to fill in but I couldn't bring myself to it......could do with some shopping trollies abandoned as well! I will admit the car space lines could be straighter but I'm old and derelict like the car park

It will fit in well in the now completed city of Franonia (pictures soon)........

During my painting funk I've been farting around with my blog colour but I don't know?

  5. Great job, the banner is awesome, not so sure on the grey though, a bit bland maybe.

  6. Hi Fran, nice car pak. Might I suggest to make it look tattier you could consider some oil patches in some of the parking bays. Just a thought. Other than that brilliant. And oil patches very optional. But I have seen plenty of dark stains of dry oil in parking bays.

  7. Great looking model, maybe a bit too "clean" though

  8. Nice work! I can almost hear the zombies scuffing feet.
    :-)

  15. That is a nice piece of terrain; don't get caught on the top floor! More cars and some dead bodies will take care of any perceived cleanliness.

  16. Great looking model, making it even grubbier will only improve it (if that makes sense). Wouldn't worry about the straight lines too much, I've seen far worse in local 1:1 scale carparks.

  17. Its a great piece and I hear you about what to do to cover those joins. Every laser cut kit I have has a join somewhere that bugs that heck out of me. You might be able to hide is with a single strip all around the side, give it a bit of a decorative look while hiding all the joins at that same time.

I like the white in the text section, I like the color for everything else, reminds me of my blog!

  18. That certainly does the job; you now need lots of temporary shelters and water catchers on the roof section. The new look feels good and I really love the banner, one of my favourite movie quotes of all time.

  19. Awesome! I love the skip. You need some crumpled newsprint in the corners and the odd tire mark from people pulling in and out (I also really like Clints idea of oil stains). Anyway, excellent work, mate.

Hey, I know its not your scale but have you actually come across any 28mm shopping carts?

  20. I'm expecting tags, detritus, some murderers hiding in the dark ... but maybe there is no such things in Franonia...
    Very nice looking building!

  21. The car park looks great. Gamecraft makes fantastic stuff. I'm working on the sawtooth roofed factory now. Where did you get the shipping pallets? Are they home made or purchased?

  28. Liking the new look and e car park.

  29. I like it! now lets just release those nasty zombies. you take the shot gun and I'll improise lets use Ray's car to block an entrance... it will get shot quite a bit during the fight I imagine and then we'll wait until the army rolls into town just like in shaun of the dead... almost the most realistic zombie movie ever.

  30. The car park looks pretty good to me. Ditto with the blog layout.

  31. Supreme General, a wonderful parking structure! Zombies climb ramps very slowly...good target practice. Someone of great taste has dropped his Mad Magazine! Hail Franonia!

  32. Nice job on the carpark Fran, love all the little details.
I like the new blog title pic and the quotation is superb, it was the most memorable and moving part of BladeRunner... kudos!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Nice work Fran...you know what would be cool...get a remote control car and go thru that thing without hitting anything.

  34. Very nice Fran. Should be great for a zombie/modern game. I like the Blade Runner ref in the header!

  35. I really like the pile of miscellaneous debris outside of the refuse bin. The color of the parking structure and blog seem to be spot on to me. Keep up the good work, Fran!

  36. The new blog for both of you two clowns, looks good. But the black never bothered me either. Either way, I come to see what you're up to, really don't care if it's polka dotted, black or white. Whatever you fancy, works for me.

  37. I'm home, awake and fine. Sneaking a comment in under the radar. The paintjob on this is nice and tidy Fran. And yes, the blog makeover is nice particularly the banner-nice quote.

  38. Nicely done Fran. I've been looking forward to seeing this for a while.

  39. Impressive, Lurker... Maybe a little more weathering and oil stains (the ones around the barrels look good to me), but that's just me bitching around ;)
If that was a model and I was into 15mm, I'd buy it right away just the way it is.
Now how to do that in 28mm...?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Fran that looks plenty good. Love the skip with nothing in it but discarded mags next to it. Was Andy Capp your inspiration? (ashtrays always empty with stubs all round it)

Oh also by blos are down at the moment, if they are not up by end of today can you just put out a shout that have not gone off somewhere and they should be back once Blogger sorts them out.

    Cheers

  41. Looks great - a shopping trolley or two would be icing on the cake!

I prefer this new look/design. Easier on the eye, easier to read. I'm not a big fan of the black.

  42. That car park looks like a big model for 15mm. Great job on it too!

I've been looking at a change of colour scheme for my blogs too... damn those whinging twats on TMP! I'm not a fan of white backgrounds, too glary. It's fine on books, but then they don't shine... The blue with the grey works for me and similar to what I chose, I just went for darker grey...

What to do? What to do?

    1. Also joined the discussion but still waiting to change my lay-out for my Wargame News and terrain blog, I quite like the black but white backgrounds are easier to read.

      What to do!

  50. Hey the blog colour, etc., is great.. but the photo with the space saying. Are we into Klingon now? "Time to die." "A good day to die?" WTF, could be a Shatner thing, eh?

  51. So much detail! I love it...and um, really, Franoia pictures? For serious?!? Well, bring it!

  52. You've made that parking lot so freaking realistic, I half expected to see some well-dressed looking dude getting backed over, by a minivan full of soccer mom and rugrats, for reminding the female driver of her cheating husband, Donald.

    Hope you're doing well!

  53. I foresee many an epic zombie standoff here. Or at least that's just what I hope it's used for. Cheers to another great piece!
