15mm Sci-Fi Neo Stalin Federation Platoon.....

....plus transport.

28mm Games Workshop Valkyrie posing as a 15mm transport (it will eventually have 15mm DOE gunships for support) for my NSF platoon using Khurasan federal figures, there's talk about the new power in the NSF and it's expansion into the cosmos....more to come and the NSF like it big and loud!

The colour used is vallejo Russian green (rare paint now, so rare they don't make it any more), still trying to go with the minimalist palette for regular forces.....

Seriously but lately my awful picture taking and my funk are getting to me but here are some pictures I apparently took.......

  7. Moscow is most pleased!!!
Vallejo only changed the name of Russian Green. It is now called "Camo Olive Green" but still has the same part number.

    Good stuff! Keep 'em coming!

  14. What a great looking force. You keep me wanting to switch (or add) to 15mm gaming.
Speaking of which, do you ever get to game with these forces you show us?

  15. I like these a lot Fran. Now that I've ventured into the 15mm realm I have a better appreciation for them. Did you make that display map? If so that is brilliant my man!

  19. Looks "Proper" to me Brother, with that 32MM model used as an appropriate scale for the 15MM force shown. It works.

  20. Look at that epic-ass space ship thing!

  21. Nice one mate. The mix of scales works very well. It gives it a great platoon lift capability. Bit of a Martini Moment " Any time, any place, any where!"

  36. Figures and ship look top notch. Being still in a semi funk myself all I can say is I hope you feel better soon. Maybe thrashing Ray at game would help.

  37. That transport looks great, Fran.

  38. Very nice!

It's a shame they don't make the Russian green anymore. How the hell are you supposed to play out the original Red Dawn in minature?

  46. I love the glossy armour on these guys. Actually, the hull of the Valkyrie looks pretty much in scale with the 15s...

  47. Great figs, love the minimal colours, its really working a treat for you. That Valk actually looks in scale now!

I've wanted to do 15mm SciFi for ages. Next year we'll see if I can prise the Lad away from Blood Bowl and Vikings for a little while - I'll definitely be showing him your efforts as a demonstration of the awesomeness that be be had :-)

What rules are you going to use?

  51. To be honest:

The Valkyrie totally fits into this whole Scenery. It probably needs to be converted a bit, but it could act as some kind of Transall or C-130 as those units also drop masses of paratroopers (around 30 or so ;-D) Great stuff!
