The Old West is so nice...I'll go there this summer, and I hope I will see someone like in the last picture...the last one, not the third one...Anyway, great looking minis, and very nice saloon too!! Phil.
Very nice painting on those mini's Fran. Zowwie, I like that last picture. AND that's why I like living in Texas. ;-) (too bad most of them don't look like that)
I can imagine the subject of the last picture being very, very good, 'cos she's very, very bad... But the dude? I have heard it said that a woman is just a woman, but a cigar is a damned good smoke. As I quit smoking 10 years back, I don't recall prezackly. But I can well believe that cigars are very, very bad, cos' they is so very, very good!
I like the Blue Chin Gang standing in front of the saloon, and all... :-)
Nice brushwork there Fran, your highlights are really good on these. I was looking at some Artizan last night then realized I've only got base coats on three of my Knuckleduster cowboys.
You must promise never to put that pic of Ray up again. The nightmares I had after the last time nearly scarred me for life :)
it's funny i am looking at your work... then i got to the smoking man and they the woman and i lost all senses of what i was going to write... thank you.
Nice work Fran, I really like how your western stuff is coming along. And thank you so much for following that shot of Ray with a much better "reference" shot.
the government thought of giving long term contraceptives to people who could not afford to have children... that picture is all they need to hand out. :-D
ouch that may be a bit harsh anyway great work and that gang should end up with a lot of cash.
Blue mustache on the small guys... Ray sucking a fat one... blonde with points on high, with nice hat. Sure, I can see how it all comes together, my little friend. :/
I may have to barrow that photo of Ray for one of my blogs. I didn't have anything to blog about yesterday, so I blogged about not having anything to blog about and Anne gave me some great Ray ideas.
Very nice figs and very good painting work: nothing more needed!
ReplyDeleteI like the "saloon" too! Scratch-build ?

ReplyDeleteYou must promise never to put that pic of Ray up again. The nightmares I had after the last time nearly scarred me for life :)
Ray is a genuine Mexican gringo, he could sell tortillas in Guadalajara, methinks :)
ReplyDeleteit's funny i am looking at your work... then i got to the smoking man and they the woman and i lost all senses of what i was going to write... thank you.
ReplyDeleteNice work Fran, I really like how your western stuff is coming along. And thank you so much for following that shot of Ray with a much better "reference" shot.
ReplyDeleteThat last pic just keeps me staring, maybe a little drool too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that AL, the good, (your figures) the bad (I like bad girls and ...
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one to identify the Mexican as Figaro from The "Topper" of many years ago ?
What a great pair of .......miniatures! and the straw hat is cool, cant remember much else.
ReplyDeleteLovely figure (and the miniatures aren't bad either). Not entirely convinced by that bandito though, was Ray practising for a local Pride march?
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to say!
DeleteExcellently painted Western folk - nice backdrop too. Dean
ReplyDeleteNice work Fran, I really like the Artizan cowboy range full of character. I LOL at Ray in that getup! What a lovely lady to.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kindness of the second image. My eye's needed succour...
ReplyDeleteI'm with Legion.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Generalissimo! These are bad bandidos!
ReplyDeleteI could go for billiards, hot food, and a cold beer myself right about now. And I've still got the whole damn day ahead of me. Nice little pieces!
ReplyDeleteGreat job painting up the cow girl. Though cant see any stubble at all
ReplyDeleteVery nice work Fran.
ReplyDeleteRegards
Bruno
Thank you a lot for the second picture, Fran!!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice figures (but I have no eyes but for the cowgirl...)
the picture of Ray is a very useful one.
ReplyDeletethe government thought of giving long term contraceptives to people who could not afford to have children... that picture is all they need to hand out. :-D
ouch that may be a bit harsh anyway great work and that gang should end up with a lot of cash.
Great looking figs (especially the cowgirls) and like the buildings too
ReplyDeleteGreat minis!
ReplyDeleteYes, great looking minis, buildings, senors and senoritas! I think I'm going to be sucked into the Old West and "Dead Man's Hand" rules!
ReplyDeleteNice show Fran! I have a few Artizans cowboys somewhere, but never got round to painting them...
ReplyDeleteGringo Ray is hilarious!
And a delightful sight to end on, always nice to see puppies noses!
Great, now all I can think about is how I could use a few tacos right now.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I am not really into Wild West, but I am enjoying every single of your post here. Great painting!
ReplyDeleteRay looks a bit like those Mexicans from those 60´s movies. Have to admit I like the looks of "lady" from the last post better here! ;-)
Great moustaches all round!
ReplyDeleteBoot Hill never looked so good! I do like the beards.
ReplyDeleteNice abs on the last one, with very well done highlights.
Nice paintjob on the minis. I especially like the way way you did the blues on Il buono. Great finish to the picture series as well. :)
ReplyDeleteRay looks like he's ready for a Mexican Gay Pride parade!
ReplyDeleteLovely work on the minis!
Very nicely done, as always.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Ray. I wonder why he's dressed like that, but I love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, once again, Fran.
Great job on the miniatures. My eyes are still hurt and need more soothing; what else do you have?
ReplyDeleteWell done with those guys!
ReplyDeleteWhen did she join your group? Is that Ray's daughter?
ReplyDeleteBlue mustache on the small guys... Ray sucking a fat one... blonde with points on high, with nice hat. Sure, I can see how it all comes together, my little friend. :/
ReplyDeleteThe blonde doesn't do it for me. I'm more partial to Mexicans. Not the one pictured above, though.
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to watch a Clint Eastwood film.
ReplyDeleteI may have to barrow that photo of Ray for one of my blogs. I didn't have anything to blog about yesterday, so I blogged about not having anything to blog about and Anne gave me some great Ray ideas.
ReplyDeleteCracked me up, she did.
