The nice lads down at Gravesend Wargames Club asked myself and Ray to highlight their club which meets on Wednesday every week, they play a good variety of games and on the whole are a friendly lot (well they did invite Ray), we've been down once already with Postie and will be heading down again this Wednesday (I think).
They've got a great website with all the details and information you need to join the good lunacy that is wargaming!
Some pictures of when we there and some pictures from Broadside 2013, the guys put on a lot of really good games at a variety of shows!
What have you got to lose?
The following pics are from Broadside 2013 where they put on an excellent game.......
Four of the Gravesend boys at our table early morning commenting on Martins shorts or man bag?
Setting up their table, Martin helping with his hands in his pockets..........
Their board with the blog whore Ray in a picture!!!
Some pictures of their beautiful 28mm AWI game...........
Following pictures are from our night at the club............
Excellent beverage making facilities, best cup of tea I've had in a while.........
Great looking pics!

Deletelovely stripes on Ray's polo shirt.
ReplyDeleteHe thinks they're slimming!
DeleteCheers Dez!!
DeleteI was just about to comment on Ray's shirt. Ray: If you went with a white and red stripe, you could be Waldo.
DeleteLOL playing where's waldo, two games in one
DeleteNo, horizontal stripes are never slimming....
DeleteStripes slim only when vertical :) but any stripes cover up lots of things - I use it myself :)
DeleteRay needs a circus tent!

Always good to have another place to go and hang out, great photographs too.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to attend and meet all you guys, I realise that I'm going to sound like a lightweight but its 266 miles to get there.
ReplyDeleteIt appears to be a very nice club.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the nice pics looks like much fun
ReplyDeleteI was working with a bloke who sort of does wargaming for real. They dress as Vikings and belt each other with plastic axes. There is a structure to it.
ReplyDeleteI think those guys are LARP's, I've met lunatics who use real swords!
Deletehours of fun i am sure...
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit far for me I'm afraid.
ReplyDeleteLooks like some really fun games. Congrats on finding another place to play games and meet folks.

Nice of you boys to give a shout-out. Here's hoping some people answer the call!
ReplyDeleteHope so for them!
DeleteGood review and kind promotion from you, Fran.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Gravesend is a bit far...
Good luck with the club anyway!

ReplyDeleteI'd like to come and join you blokes but Gravesend is a fair trek from where I live!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the club, and I hope the promotion pays off.
Great pictures! It looks like a blast. We'd love to join you if you weren't just a BIT too far away...
ReplyDeleteI want a man bag - and that board with the town! That is totally awesome and I wish I could pop over and have a better look at it :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I grow up, I want to play games like that one.
