These ladies hail from Hinterland Miniatures and the VSF homeland of Angria, delicate miniatures that deserved more but I wargame (well try to) and paint for that purpose, these ladies go with the armoured land train previously shown and they will have more armour, their elite trench raiders, a pom pom artillery piece (once I retouch it after dropping it along with a platoon of modern Russian infantry that were on the same tray). There will be a Queen and some other royalty to finish it off and we're done.........
I just wanted them painted in a more drab uniform than the white of the navy I had seen on other hinterland sailors.............with a little hint of magenta. Did I say Angria is a Matriachy!
I received an email from Jason of Hinterland Miniatures to say there were some new releases added to the range and can be seen here.
28mm figure from the DAK and Copplestone Castings to show some size and scale.......
.....these miniatures were painted quite a while ago!
Nice and bright colors, Fran!
ReplyDeleteFirst time for everything I suppose.
DeleteI like the bright colors.
DeleteThanks Whisk!
DeleteNice splash of color!
ReplyDeleteIt is for me Alex.
DeleteThey do look pretty awesome and it's about time that your army had some females in it. They certainly look like they could do some damage.
ReplyDelete...and not just with their wicked tongues!
DeleteWonderful stuff there Fran! Love the colours!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rodger!
DeleteLike the pink colour on them. I'm sure they'll be pretty staunch on the battlefield.
ReplyDeleteThat's magenta Dan and of course they will!
DeleteGreat battle-babes, hope they get a run out against a suitably dastardly enemy.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Paul.
DeleteOh I say they are rather splendid! I've often fancied some of these Hinterland miniatures, what was the postage time like and do you have to be wary of import tax?
ReplyDeletePostage time wasn't too bad but UK customs took their share at this end!
DeleteLocked and loaded, nice job
ReplyDeleteThanks John.
DeleteReally nice.
ReplyDeleteLong live Angria! Long live the Queen!
Nice one Chris.
DeleteGreat looking, Angry
ReplyDeleteThanks mate.
DeleteGreat work and paint Francis .
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Thanks Vincent.
DeleteI really like these Fran. Excellent figures nice colours and the PINK (ok Magenta*) really leaps out. It gives them such a presence.
ReplyDelete*Magenta.... it's still PINK no matter what you try to call it. !
No way....it's more of a red!
DeleteVery pretty in Pi...Magenta Fran.
ReplyDeleteKickarse work.
The new red Paul!
DeleteNice figures and a splendid uniform. The magenta does add a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tamsin.
DeleteGirl Power!! Nice work Fran.
ReplyDeleteThanks girl!
DeleteGreat looking bunch of "ladies".
ReplyDeleteThanks sir.
DeleteVery, very nice Fran.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian.
DeleteVery nicely done, even the mutt looks great, hard for the cat to admit lol
ReplyDeleteHe loves cats.......raw!
Deletenaval amazons!
ReplyDeleteA good description Dezmond!
DeleteGood stuff. Should be some good games in the future.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope so Mike.
DeleteSuperb Fran, I like these a lot some peeps are using them for IHMN warbands. The new robo guard is super as well. May have to squeeze him in somewhere
ReplyDeleteThey do look good Simon!
DeleteI saw the new releases for this line yesterday, and I was seriously contemplating getting a unit of these girls to use in Dystopian legions (where there is a serious under-representation of females). This may just be the inspiration to make me go get them! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Derek, I do like to see people spend their money.
DeleteNice minis and great paint too, Fran! They look like they'd easily blend in as an allied contingent to your warlord's host as well as being different enough to oppose him. If my daughters see these, my wallet will be doomed!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely opposition David.
DeleteI don't think I want to run into any of those gals!
ReplyDeleteMean bunch this lot!
DeleteExcellent, with a wonderful choice of colors!
ReplyDeleteMagenta is the new grey!
DeleteBeautiful painting, General. I've always admired the way you use Franonian Blue to adorn your masterpieces. Hail Franonia!
ReplyDeleteHail Angria too!
DeleteGreate paint work matey !!!
ReplyDeletebest regards Michael
Thanks Michael.
DeleteVery nice ladies Fran and I too like the magenta. Silly people calling it pink. The idea of a Matriarchy is intriguing. She will certainly need all those troops just to keep you in line though as you're a bit of a handful:)
ReplyDeleteWho me?
DeleteAs if you don't know. Jaysus, I've put you in the dog house more times than I can count:)
DeleteI know Anne, I know...........
DeleteWell, nice hint of magenta there, actually. It's.. it actually looks cool. I just wasn't expecting to think that way.
ReplyDeleteWe need a song with magenta in it!
DeleteHey man they're rather splendid.
ReplyDeleteThanks my friend.
DeleteWhen you said "female sailor" I thought of something like this. But these figs are well done!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of that sailor girl now!
DeletePretty and armed, nice work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andras.
DeleteVery nice miniatures. Your Royal Navy will be interesting to ask for a commission...
ReplyDeleteYou'll need a few certain attributes!
DeleteVery nice!!
ReplyDeleteA ship full of these... oh my!!
Damn right!
DeleteCool figures, like these a lot. Hmm some more for my wishlist!
ReplyDeleteMust have been fun painting these, a job well don I must say!
They deserved better but I do like them.
DeleteReally nice work on these Sir Fran. That magenta does give the uniforms a nice "pop". I like it!
ReplyDeleteRod
Praise for the magenta Rod.
DeleteGreat contrast painting on these Fran!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Magenta is the next big thing!
DeleteI have to add my compliments. The sailors have many options in winter or summer uniforms along with touches of color. I have small Hinterland crews in white and blue.
ReplyDeleteYours were some of the first painted ones I saw!
DeleteDouble plus good! The pick accents just pop on these lovely ladies.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of chicks with guns. My hands are in the air and I'll do just as I'm told.
You're a sensible man Monty!
DeleteVery nice Fran they look really good.
ReplyDeleteThanks mate.
DeleteReally like these - the drab tones with a flash of pink is inspired.
ReplyDeleteHinterland is another manufacturer I'd love to buy plenty of but I just have no use for...
I felt similar after buying these:D
DeleteThey look good, Fran. When do you expect to take them into action?
ReplyDeleteVery soon.....he says!
DeleteBloody mental!
ReplyDeleteYes you are old boy!
DeleteSumptuous Fran, well painted sir
ReplyDeleteThanks AL!
DeleteOi, Fran! Well done, there, as per usual. I have seen a lot about the Hinterland ladies lately, which is pushing me closer and closer to ordering some of the trench raiders for use in A Very British Civil War.
ReplyDeleteI have them myself, nice sculpts, remind me of the movie "Sucker Punch".
DeleteExcellent work Fran. The uniform colour scheme works very well and great ooking figures. I hadn't seen this range before.
ReplyDeleteThanks Scotty.
DeleteFran there are great and a wonderful and rather striking colour scheme that works so well. I love this range and must get some for my VBCW
ReplyDeleteYou won't be disappointed PK!
