28mm VSF Painted Female Sailor Unit from Hinterland Miniatures.....

.......or the 1st Angrian Royal Marines.

These ladies hail from Hinterland Miniatures and the VSF homeland of Angria, delicate miniatures that deserved more but I wargame (well try to) and paint for that purpose, these ladies go with the armoured land train previously shown and they will have more armour, their elite trench raiders, a pom pom artillery piece (once I retouch it after dropping it along with a platoon of modern Russian infantry that were on the same tray). There will be a Queen and some other royalty to finish it off and we're done.........

I just wanted them painted in a more drab uniform than the white of the navy I had seen on other hinterland sailors.............with a little hint of magenta. Did I say Angria is a Matriachy!

I received an email from Jason of Hinterland Miniatures to say there were some new releases added to the range and can be seen here.

28mm figure from the DAK and Copplestone Castings to show some size and scale.......

.....these miniatures were painted quite a while ago!

  2. They do look pretty awesome and it's about time that your army had some females in it. They certainly look like they could do some damage.

  4. Like the pink colour on them. I'm sure they'll be pretty staunch on the battlefield.

  5. Great battle-babes, hope they get a run out against a suitably dastardly enemy.

  6. Oh I say they are rather splendid! I've often fancied some of these Hinterland miniatures, what was the postage time like and do you have to be wary of import tax?

    1. Postage time wasn't too bad but UK customs took their share at this end!

  18. I saw the new releases for this line yesterday, and I was seriously contemplating getting a unit of these girls to use in Dystopian legions (where there is a serious under-representation of females). This may just be the inspiration to make me go get them! Great job!

  19. Nice minis and great paint too, Fran! They look like they'd easily blend in as an allied contingent to your warlord's host as well as being different enough to oppose him. If my daughters see these, my wallet will be doomed!

  24. Very nice ladies Fran and I too like the magenta. Silly people calling it pink. The idea of a Matriarchy is intriguing. She will certainly need all those troops just to keep you in line though as you're a bit of a handful:)

  33. I have to add my compliments. The sailors have many options in winter or summer uniforms along with touches of color. I have small Hinterland crews in white and blue.

  34. Double plus good! The pick accents just pop on these lovely ladies.

I'm a fan of chicks with guns. My hands are in the air and I'll do just as I'm told.

  36. Really like these - the drab tones with a flash of pink is inspired.

Hinterland is another manufacturer I'd love to buy plenty of but I just have no use for...

  37. They look good, Fran. When do you expect to take them into action?

  38. Sumptuous Fran, well painted sir

  39. Oi, Fran! Well done, there, as per usual. I have seen a lot about the Hinterland ladies lately, which is pushing me closer and closer to ordering some of the trench raiders for use in A Very British Civil War.
