The BM-21 is a Soviet truck mounted 122mm multiple rocket launcher, the "Grad" stands for hail! A minimum range of 1.6km and a maximum of up to 40km and is the most widely used multiple rocket launch system in the world!
3 resin BM-21 from Battlefront, not too difficult to put together, 2 for the Russians/East Europeans and 1 for my North Koreans! Yet again probably scenery or an objective?
15mm Oddzial Osmy and Khurasan miniatures for a touch of scale..........
A 31 second video showing one of these bad boys in action...............
They look very nice. If the windows wee different and they were against a back ground I would have trouble thinking thye were miniatures

DeleteVery nice work Fran. Not quiet the same thing, but I was situated next to a battery of MLRS's in the Gulf War when they fired off all their rockets. Woah man that was a site!!
ReplyDeleteThat must have been something to experience!
DeleteI recently met a war veteran who fought in Africa in the 60s. He had some awful memories of these "organs". Great work Fran, they do look impressive and realistic!! :D Cheers!

DeleteI don't know much about the military but I do recognise those rocket launchers. Which I guess says a lot about their presence. I'm not sure I'd trust the Russians or North Koreans with them though.
ReplyDeleteWell said Mark!
DeleteSweet rides
ReplyDeleteCheers Trey!
DeleteI love the little windows.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivy!
DeleteUh, if it's the most widely used multiple rocket launch system in the world, then how come I don't have one, huh? What I'm saying is... I want one. Nicely done. Those look badass.
