My mate from England (no not Ray) asked me to paint a few things, one of those things was this 28mm Aliens Colonial Marine APC from Prodos Games, my mate said it was a bastard to put together, mold lines, parts not fitting together etc....
..........and don't get me started on the transaxle!!!!!!!
He supplied the paint and the chaos began.......
The crab like aliens are from Khurasan and the name actually came from an actual crab species I liked the name of......but also known as the Crabby 8!
These were part of a submission to the ongoing challenge but still currently behind Ray"Budgie Smuggler" Rousell!
I've always known the aliens would colonize Earth either through you or Ray....
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Ray, no morals......
DeleteEase back, Ripley. You're only grinding metal.
ReplyDeleteNice job, Fran!
Cheers Alex!
Delete"You've blown the transaxle!" odd words for what's obviously an electric drive vehicle... But as always rule of cool prevails and it's a cool line ;)
DeleteGreat work here. Just looking at that finished interior is so evocative: Gorman sliding back and forth looking at his monitors, Hicks shotgunning xenos at the hatch...
You paint a good picture sir, well said!
Deletewell done! No feeling of "toy"
ReplyDeleteThanks for that!
DeleteNo... not Ray? That was funny.
ReplyDeleteI know....right!
DeleteNicely done Fran ol boy!
ReplyDeleteCheers fellow reject!
DeleteExcellent paint work
ReplyDeleteThanks Neil!
DeleteThe work on the APC is especially cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan!
DeleteVery nice work on all of these, but yes, that APC is quite amazing - particularly the interior work and crew.
ReplyDeleteGreat detail but poor sculpting with two pieces of connection!
DeleteMarvellous work, Fran, with the APC looking particularly formidable. I clearly need to give "Khurasan" a look as those Crabbies look enticing too.
ReplyDeleteLoads of nice little aliens all over that site!
DeleteAwesome job on the APC, Francis! You can really imagine Lieutenant Gorman in front of those screens taking the wrong decisions. :D
ReplyDeleteVery true, poor Gorman!
DeleteAt least he went with a big bang and a true badass by his side.
DeleteAmen to that!
DeleteI just love that APC, so much amazing detail and beautifully done Fran.
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you Michael!
DeleteReally cool Fran!
ReplyDeleteChristopher

DeleteTop notch job on the APC, and this purple is great!
ReplyDeleteCheers Phil!
DeleteGreat!! Unfortunately I missed out on the 1/72nd Version of the APC and dropship
ReplyDelete"I'm ready, man. Check it out! I am the ultimate badass! State of the badass art! You do not want to f**k with me. Check it out! Hey, Ripley, don't worry. Me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you! Check it out. Independently targeting particle-beam phalanx. WHAP! Fry half a city with this puppy. We got tactical smart missiles, phase plasma pulse rifles, RPGs. We got sonic, electronic ball-breakers! We got nukes, we got knives, sharp sticks..." One of my favourite films ..I must have watched it 20 times plus.
Poor old Hudson, extended sentry gun version, what a classic! Somebody wake up Hicks!
Deleteas soon as I found out there was an Extended Version I bought it..and watched it twice back to back :-) I mean, the Sound of an M41A pulse rifle being fired..!!! Who wouldn´t want a real functioning one!!?
DeleteThe sentry gun's for me...awesome!
DeleteThat APC looks so great can largely ignore the bloody awful ground clearance! Nice piece of work on it and the crabs (great colours).
ReplyDeleteI know Alan, like a fecking supercar!
DeleteAwesome work as usual!
ReplyDeleteCheers kind sir!
DeleteWhen I first saw the APC I thought "meh", untilI scrolled down and saw the fabulous interior - what great job you've done on it !
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that!
DeleteVery very nice work, my General! Hail Franonia!!
ReplyDeleteLast time I had a purple crab cake for a snack...well you know.
Flatulence?

DeleteThe interior of that APC is incredible, well done!
ReplyDeleteLove the crab warriors too, shame shipping from the US has become so expensive.
Tell me about it, Khurasan charge 30 dollars for a small box?
