800 Followers and the One.

Seriously thanks very much again for another follower landmark, got an Area Manager on site still today (he thinks I'm doing something constructive for work) and I've forgotten to bring in my camera with pictures of Opel Blitz's and the last of the Fallschirmjager so this has helped with an easy but much appreciated post and a picture of the ONE as she contemplates my request for her to jump out of my birthday cake this month or something similarly messy.

Angry Lurker Honest Movie Review 49: THOR 2011 (3 STARS)

The warrior Thor (Hemsworth) is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard by his father Odin (Hopkins) for his arrogance and sent to Earth to live among humans. Falling in love with scientist Jane Foster (Portman) teaches Thor much-needed lessons, and his new-found strength comes into play as a villain from his homeland sends dark forces toward Earth.

When I was a big comic fan I never read Thor or any superhero that was too powerful like Superman or too goody two shoes like Spiderman or Dare Devil, I'm more of a Punisher, Batman and Wolverine fan (either little superpower or none). So I approached Thor with caution but it's not a bad movie once Thor get's over himself, the action is good especially at the beginning with the frost giants (good bad guys and well lead).

You get bits and pieces mentioned about other heroes like Bruce Banner (The Hulk), Tony Stark (Iron Man) and a look at Hawkeye (Avengers) and more S.H.I.E.L.D shenanigans, the love story isn't too soppy, Rene Russo is hardly used (a shame), Loki is a sneaky shite (even I knew this), Hopkins does a good Hopkins as Odin. As I said I didn't know much about some of the other characters among his Asgard posse but all in all worth a watch.

20mm WW2 German Fallschirmjager Support Weapons.

Some support weapons to bolster the platoon with a couple of MG34s, 10.5cm LG40/1 Recoilless guns, some panzerfausts and panzerschreck (if the war drags on into the mid war period), kettenkrades for towing the recoilless guns.
Nearly everything is AB figures again with the kettenkrades and recoilless guns from SHQ miniatures, I think the artillery crew shells may be a bit big for the recoilless guns but I want to be able to use different artillery pieces if I have to, again painted by Ray and finished by myself (I think there may be some issue with some colours but it wasn't for the lack of research).
I will have one more post next week with more support including 8cm mortars, drop canisters and casualties.

Anyone selling a really well painted 20mm or 1:72 scale German Fallschirmjager glider or two cheaply??????:D
