1000 years of war in 4 minutes and 47 seconds.

This animation shows all the important battles that took place over the last 1000 years, the size of the explosions and labels are proportional to the number of casualties.

  1. Gulp! It's fascinating to see the clusters of explosions that define a given conflict like the Napoleonic Wars and The American Civil War. But its the sudden and massive explosions marking WWI & WWII that make you jump back from the screen and gasp.
