Angry First Aid........my knees are killing me

Organised a 3 day first aid course for the staff at work which started yesterday. There were five of us for the first set of training including Ray from http://onelover-ray.blogspot.com/ and why I am I angry because I have the knees this morning of a .....(insert joke here) between putting people in the recovery position and the constant CPR pummeling (I was up and down off the floor like a ???? ...insert answer here) I thought I was going to need the recovery position and some CPR done on me.

I am now on my way to the course again, my knees are still killing me and my practice dummys name is Ray, I need to improve my slobber lock and you cannot revive somebody through CPR alone (Hollywood is full of shit) and did I mention my knees are killing me.

  1. LoL. I did a St Johns Ambulance first aid course last year and my Knees took a battering as well. By the end of the course I was hobbling around like a geriatric.

I hope you and Ray will be very happy together.

  3. It's important to remember not to use tongues... it can impede the airway.

  4. Another thing you can immediately discern when someone is dead as a doornail stiff but can't officially say so, which can be frustrating, yet the difference is night and day, like a wax dummy when the life is gone. The spark of life makes a huge and noticeable difference.

  10. My usual recovery position is standing with a cup of coffee in one hand and a fag in the other....works wonders for knee pains. That or laying down in bed...with or without someone jumping up and down on my chest...also good for knee pains.
It´s true...you can´t revive someone using CPR alone....a stiff drink usually helps and quickly eases knee pains.
    I keep mentioning knee pains...????

  12. I actually did try this once, about 10 yrs ago seriuosly...I even though I could feel the life going out of her I kept going with the attempt until the ambulance arrived but she died...28yrs old....odd..it didn´t affect me at all..maybe cos I had done my best. It is well worth learning, even if you never have to use it or it fails.

  14. Day 2 is over, I'm half dead too now, not only are my knees killing me but my back as well, I had to wrap a bandage around the Lurker head, NO chance!!his head is far too fat, the instructor said tie two together, I said sod him, let him bleed to death! We also had to put Paul into the recovery position in a 4 man team, as we turned him over the dirty git farted and cleared the room!

  24. Between the knees, and the slobbering, and the not being able to revive people only using CPR..well, I will just give up now. My test dummie is a dead man.
