Painted these up in the first days of my Bell's Palsy (eye not moving and constantly watering but that's me being angry and stupid) and have never been that happy with the paint job, a bit too basic but looking at the pictures today they're not that bad, this is the complete range of poses, they're not bad sculpts at all but could do with some sitting and driving figures added to the range (hint, hint to the designer over at Pig Iron)), there are 19 figures painted (should be 20 but found the on I had dropped and then drop kicked later and repainted the bare metal bits on him) so far and I have painted light and heavy dreadnoughts to be added plus vehicles all in a similar paint scheme.
Have added a scale picture to just to give an idead of scale with other figures.
1st group.
L to R, 28mm Copplestone Castings and Hasslefree Miniatures.
2nd Group.
looks pretty cool hehehe
ReplyDeleteYou lazzy good for nuttin bum you!
ReplyDeleteGet back in there and bleach bone them wraps, and you missed some of the eye pieces and re-breathers too!
Other than that, these look fine.
Finish 'em!
:P
Ah, I really like them (minis & paintjob). Have some of these waiting for me as well. Started painting PI Heavy Infantry just yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHow did you paint the robes? Devlan Mud on a layer of White or Bleached Bone?
Whiteface / Oliver
They look really good Angry. Well done.
ReplyDeleteHey Picaso (think about it) these models don't look too shabby my friend. Nice work as always. How do you find the time to get so much painted? Do you and Ray get any work done at all?
ReplyDelete@Whiteface: Vallejo Desert Yellow, followed by a thinned down windsor and newton peat brown and lightly drybrushed with desert yellow again.
ReplyDelete@Brother Joseph: I have this terrible phobia of being unable to go back to figures I've already done:D
@BigLee: I know I work very hard but Ray Rousell is a lazy fecker.
ReplyDeleteIf this is the basic painting for you mate...then I simply don't agree with you. They are simply fantastic (even though I am not aware of these ranges)...
ReplyDeleteT.
I think they look great. If that's how you can paint with only one eye working well, wow.
ReplyDeleteAin't done...
ReplyDelete:P
@Brother Joseph: I want to give you for your support a traditional irish greeting "Pog mo thoin" :P
ReplyDeleteYou did a very good job!!
ReplyDeleteDude- awesome!
ReplyDeleteCnaib Lusra!
ReplyDeleteThe blood on that Sickle-Axe is awesome! It comes out best in a close-up of number 2 from the top, the guy next to the standard-bearer looking thing. It has got blood on both ends with a liquid on steel effect. Or in number 5 too, look at that.
Anything Star Wars has my attention! Great job!!
ReplyDeleteLike Thanos said...
ReplyDeleteYour "meh" is still pleasing to the eyes.
Great color choices regardless of how finished they are :) If I ever break into 28's I have a growing list of pig iron stuff to buy...
ReplyDeletejust showed this a friend and yes, it still looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteThey look like shamans of the future!
ReplyDeleteThat Predator guy looks like he's singing in an opera! The Tuskan Raiders look good so I don't know what you're talking about.
ReplyDeleteVery cool miniatures and nicely done.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Christopher
Do you get Bells Palsy by being angry and stupid? Awesome work as always.
ReplyDelete@Meghan Moran: LOL......but no, you get those when you have it though:D
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of sandpeople
ReplyDeleteSomewhere an electric chair awaits!!!
ReplyDeleteIf I kiss your butt people will say we are gay...lol.
ReplyDeleteI ain't, and I don't think you are either.
:)
love those images :)
ReplyDeletedid I just saw a predator among the tusken raiders?
ReplyDeleteGood job.
ReplyDeletenew posts soon?
ReplyDeleteI think they look great, simple but not in the unfinished sense. The red and sand is a very strong combination and the dirty metal fits too. I'm guessing you worked over a dark undercoat, and if so, here's a case where a light colour on top came out very well.
ReplyDeletecool collection! just don't get addicted and start buying ridiculous things
ReplyDeleteI'm of to rewatch the movies again :-D
ReplyDeleteI wanted I have your basic painting skills, because they look awesome to me ;-)
Greetings Peter
i agree with zombie Tuskan warriors are misunderstood. Theres a Jedi Tuskan in a comic, dont remember what happened to him.
ReplyDeleteNice collection. Is that predator female or just well pecked?
ReplyDeleteThey remind me of Jawas and sand people mixed.
ReplyDeleteExpert sniper scrapdealers!!!
Nice one mate
Cheers
paul

ReplyDeleteOh man, these look sharp. Your lineup makes me glad I ordered the Kolony Ferals Special Weapons pack...I just wish it would arrive!!
ReplyDeleteVery good detail work! I like how they look like a cross between the tusken raiders from Star Wars and the hero from Assassin's Creed.
