Khurasan Painted 15mm Modern North Korean Infantry.........

....plus improvised commander and aide!

Got these last year and painted them for a painting challenge, I spoke to the Khurasan guy/gentleman not too long ago (end of May this year) about the promised support elements........
"......... the platoon weapons have been made for the NKs. Just waiting for them to be painted up for sale. Mortar team, PK machine gun, DshK HMG, and sagger team."

I had spoke to him last year about a command for the NKs but it didn't sound promising due to costs so I bought a Khurasan sci-fi mid tech command squad for a likely looking leader and the last picture (the worst picture) shows officer plus female aide, these will do until something better comes along!

The eyesight is getting worse or it's time for the magnifying glass, those collar tabs are a little untidy!
Their armour can be seen here.

  5. Fran, I can fully emphasise with your failing eyesight problem. I have to go in for an operation to get my cataracts removed. I've been told by quite a few people it'll be the best thing that could happen for me. It may be that you might need an eye test. Ive known for a few years now that I had cataracts but it wasn't until l recently visited my opticians that I found out how badly they had become. Believe me, you should take the utmost care of your eyesight.

  17. I remember when my buddy and I were teachers in Ilsan, South Korea and we said if the North Koreans come down the highway we would feed them instant noodles to slow them down, as they'd be so hungry, then as they ate UN troops could conter attack

  36. Time for a Crazy Anne story Here's the set up. We've got these Japanese Beetles here that come in massive swarms and they eat roses. They have no natural predators and they are immune to all pesticides. The only way to keep them from eating your roses is to knock them off your plants.

So, I go out and buy two toy squirt guns. I've got one in each hand and I'm pretending I'm a gunslinger,. I'm shouting "Die you bastards die!" as I shoot them. I'm having loads of fun, running and shouting out loud when I turn around. In the alley is a couple with a baby in a pram standing stock still staring at me. They look both horrified and scared. Unperturbed, I yell "I've got to kill these feckin beetles!" Well let me tell you, they scurried down that alley with that baby pretty damn quick :0)

    2. Yeah, I squish the guts right out of them. Makes a satisfying crunch before their innards explode :0)

    3. Oh man, I just watched two super cool WWII documentaries. One was 3D Spies of WWII. It was about the aerial recon pilots that flew Spitfires to find hidden installations in Germany. The other was on the ships sunk at Guadalcanal. The same dude that found the Titanic took vets from America, Japan and Australia with him to find the sunken ships on the 50th Anniversary. Seriously good war footage on that one too. What a cluster fuck Guadalcanal was.

    4. Guadalcanal plus a lot of other island hopping turned in to disasters for the Marines, sounds like a great documentary!

  38. I hear you on the eyesight! I dabble a little with watercolors and such but I now have to wear my reading glasses to work and it just isn't the same as when I didn't need to wear them. But I guess it's true what they say: that getting old isn't for sissies.
