28mm Painted Wargames Foundry Viking Cavalry and Infantry.
Going through my figure boxes at the weekend and came across my vikings from Wargames Foundry which I painted several years ago and have decided to take a few pictures before I sell them to fund an expedition to Salute 2011 in April, it's the largest show I go to and where I pick up figures and supplies for the rest of the year (not that I don't buy a few trifles online throughout the year either) but this now unused collection plus some overtime and a painting commision will hopefully fund this years expedition.

Nice looking figures. Pity you have to sell them, but on the other hand there's little point keeping them hidden away and unused.
ReplyDeleteHUH!? You did ancients? They look bloody good mate
ReplyDeleteCheers
paul
Looking good. Detailed work right there.
ReplyDeletefront line infantry!!!! and i actually googled git... lmao!!
ReplyDeleteStill the best 28mm Vikings on the market after all these years. I own all them (huge collection) and would never be able to part with them. However, I wish you luck.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Christopher
Mate these are really nice, very neat painting... what a shame.
ReplyDeletePS Dont forget to get pics of salute 2011, for us who cant go to these things :(
I love this new set.
ReplyDeleteNice collection dude =)
Really nice figures they are just begging to be used in a game of 'Pig Wars'
ReplyDeleteThey look very well painted =]
ReplyDeleteLovely stuff - love the berserkers in particular!
ReplyDeleteThose are very nice. I don't think you'll have any trouble selling them.
ReplyDeleteI used to play Warrior and then we changed to Field of Glory. Now my ancients sit in a room. My dad's too. Ah well perhaps we'll break them out to fight against the evil Martians.
ReplyDeleteVikings are sick! Loving the model with the giant battleaxe!
ReplyDeleteI love vikings. They are so kewl, hope ya get all their worth man.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration! These guys are beautiful and is a good kick up my backside to get started on my Vikings (Wargames Factory) to populate my Long Ship. Keep up the great work!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice collection - I especailly like the work on that mounted unit (plain black shields a brave choice, but it works!)
ReplyDeleteNeed some close-ups of the normal infantry though...
@Donogh: I have lots more pictures, the shields were kept plainish for when I got braver and would try transfers.
ReplyDeleteQuite a large group you got there. Hope you get enough to fund your next venture.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, good luck with the sale and have fun at salute
ReplyDeletePeace James
Those are good.
ReplyDeleteI wish my life had time for a great hobby like that.
Those Vikings look incredible!
ReplyDeleteGood luck funding your expedition, it sounds like fun!
It's a shame you have to sell these guys.
ReplyDeleteYeah that sucks is you have to sell them.
ReplyDeleteReally cool
great paint job on the figures. nice.
ReplyDeletethis is so fucking awesome
ReplyDeleteamazing detail there and as always great paintjob
ReplyDeletemutha fuckin vikings. badass!
ReplyDeletewell detailed and very classy :)
ReplyDeleteVikings, yeah! They look brilliant, hopefully you got a good price for them.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you don't get more commissions. I'm not even sure how you would go about that. Trade magazines I guess.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, try not to feel too bad about selling them. Not that you said you did, but I get the impression that selling them might be done with a twinge of regret.
@.......with some regret.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me wanna pick up a hobby like this to keep my freaking sanity! ;) Love this!
ReplyDeleteDon't sell angry. Hail Caesar is coming.
ReplyDeleteThis is VIKING!
ReplyDeleteWow dude all of your figures are always so well done. Bravo friend.
ReplyDeleteI really hope you get to Salute 2011 and refill the stocks exactly the way you wish. I do like the Vikings even though there is a small historical discrepancy. Being half Norwegian myself, I know for a fact that Viking cavalry men rode on the backs of polar bears and not horses. But other than that I think they look extremely well detailed!
ReplyDeletewas that odin in there?
ReplyDeleteWow, very great work, the paint is amazing! How long does each normally take?
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS WAAAAAAR!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey man just wanted to say hi and remind you that the INCREDIBLE BLOG is back in business, please be a champ and check out my blog, feel free to click on anything you find interesting, i did a lot of writing last year.

ReplyDeleteCool looking army. It must be difficult to part with them.
