20mm or 00 scale Police Box....or Doctor Who?

I'm trying to furnish my Operation Sealion project with some 00 scale painted scenery from Hornby to give it that English sleepy village look, so I picked up this second hand police box (which looks really good) and a pub which I will post later this week.
The figures are a pair of 20mm bobbies from The SGTS Mess WW2 range for my fictional town...or a game of Doctor Who.

  1. The Bobbies and the Police Box look great, just the ticket for a Warmington on Sea Scenario..."Put that light out...put that ruddy light out!!!"

  2. Try and find a good model railway shop Fran, as there is a great range of prepainted British buildings called Skaledale, pubs, houses, shops etc and loads of other stuff.

  7. Even though you plan on using that police box in a historical setting it will always have associations with Doctor Who.

  8. The potential for crossover is there too. There have been a lot of Who stories tied up with the Second World War and even Sealion. In the New Adventures novel Timewyrm: Exodus Sealion was a success, and The Curse of Fenric had a party of Russians landing from the sea to steal a codebreaking machine.

  9. Excellent work really will set the mood of quaint middle England. I love those boxes; wish we still had them in service.

The way the Home Office cuts are going, the police would be able to use them as stations soon.

  22. Beautiful box and minis. One of the things I think is cool about your project is that there's so much civilian presence, which provides great variety in what you get to include. Very nice.

  28. Sorry, for me a police box has only ine meaning... to host a Tardis!! :D

I've seen only the new series of Dr. Who (from 2005) but I'm definitely for the good Doctor.

By the way, I'm pretty sure you know them, but pay a visit at heresy:
