20mm WW2 Painted German Operation Sealion High Command

This set reminded me a bit of the scene from the Dad's Army movie with the Germans surveying the English mainland from their side of the channel while the boys from Walmington on sea look on from their side, figures are from Lamercraft and Mercedes from The Sgts Mess, figures painted by Ray Rousell and finished by the Lurker.

    Splendid stuff. super paintjob, and great finishing! All you need now is Captain Mainwaring and the Home Guard kneeling down and listening for sounds of Germans' tunnelling under the White Cliffs of Dover...

    It looks like Hogan's Heroes TV show when either General Burkhalter or else Major Hochstedter would come to inspect Colonel Klink and threaten to send him to the Russian Front--'it gets closer every day.' Klink would be terrified to see these guys coming.

    Say what you like about the Germas of that era, but they really stole the show when it came to uniforms didnt they?

    Thats a really lovely little set of figures and a really nicely done paint job. Cool.
