The Hurt Locker was on again last night and while it's a very watchable movie it wasn't a six oscar movie, this is my EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team for my marine platoon for Franonia, the pictures aren't great but they're not bad up close........I hate taking pictures!
Looks good, I am with you, I hate taking pictures as well! I actually started practicing with my camera taking mini pics as I am horrible at photography.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Eric
Gotta agree on Hurt Locker, and the pics are fine!
ReplyDeleteCool little unit, nicely done
ReplyDeleteTaking close ups is like pulling teeth.
ReplyDeleteNice work on the figs.
those are neat, thanks for throwing actual photos in the mix!
ReplyDeleteI think you did just fine with the pics...but after taking pictures of food and dealing with the stupid lighting, I totally understand! And I love the little unit!
ReplyDeleteI like the last two pics best, how the hell did you get them to look so realistic??
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing worst than trying to get the macro setting on your camera to focus on the figure you want. Good luck with that. Saying that you have managed to produce some nice miniatures.
ReplyDeleteVery nice unit, Fran. Probably it is going to have a lot of work in Franonia...
ReplyDeleteLooking very good TAL, I have always loved those 15mm USMC from Peter Pig, such good sculpts.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should send them after the folks who gave Hurt Locker so many Oscars.
ReplyDeleteThese are so good! Now all I need to do is read a book on the subject, find a manuafacturer that does them in 28mm and I can get some myself! (Victorian Warfare - pah!)
ReplyDeleteGreat figs. I somehow missed your earlier post about your Franonia imagi-nation. Very cool idea!
ReplyDeletei agree with the Hurt Locker too! That guy could also walk on the moon..haha
ReplyDeleteThat was a great movie
ReplyDeleteReally nicely done there, Angry. I loved the Hurt Locker - Jeremy Renner is one of my favorite actors.
ReplyDeleteHey, are you going to Salute this year?
that's interesting, Lurk!
ReplyDeleteWould it be inappropriate to say those are the bomb?
ReplyDeleteNo!
DeleteVery nicely done

ReplyDeleteGood job on those. The forces of Franonia continue to grow.
ReplyDeleteNice work. And I didn't think The Hurt Locker was worthy of that many Oscars either. Not even Best Picture.
ReplyDeleteYour little bomb disposal guy has quite a strut to him. lol.
ReplyDeleteheh i thought that brown one was a sniper
ReplyDeleteVery nice Fran and it seems you have closed the gap up quite a bit between on Ray which at the moment is where the real competition is at since Kent decided to hop in painting rocket ship and leave everyone in a distant rear view mirror!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
I watched Hurt Locker again last night, it was on Film Four.
ReplyDeleteGreat lookin' Pigs, Sir! Remember: "the bangs the thang!"
ReplyDeleteNice job! Nothing wrong with the photos! I'm no photographer either so I wouldn't know a bad pic if I seen one!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the Hurt Locker but I've seen a lot of Marines.
ReplyDeleteVery nice painted figures Fran!
ReplyDeleteIf you want to lose some kilo's, just wear such a suite. It's no fun wearing it in real life! ;-)
Greetings

I don't know if I'd want the name "Peter Pig," but if it meant I could dress up like that, I might consider it. Well done!
ReplyDeleteyou know I really liked Hurt Locker also but dont think it was AMAZING. I remember just wanting it to beat Avatar.
ReplyDeleteNot a 6 Oscar movie. Agreed. And nice set, it was fun to see them set up like the screens!
ReplyDeleteSweet... Especially for 15mm!
ReplyDeleteI love the Pig, hate The Hurt Locker... ;)
ReplyDeleteHurt locker I thought was a good film tbh. Cracking job on those mini's!
ReplyDeleteNice looking figs Fran!
ReplyDeleteI know you say you don't like taking pictures but I wouldn't mind seeing a close up of the camo that you use on the infantry
Will be posting a full platoon of the gits really soon......
DeleteCute and perfect. True that comment about hurtlocker. Why would anyone need cowboy/loose cannon leader in their team? Shouldn't he supposed to bring them back home safe?
ReplyDeleteBOOM!
ReplyDeleteTwisted. :)
ReplyDeleteLast 2 threw me through a loop.
ReplyDeleteI liked Hurt Locker but yeah a little over rated... you need a good macro lens for your pics - saying that they always show off your great work
ReplyDeleteI love Warhammer 40k. It's so awesoem to assemble and paint your own army :)
ReplyDeleteIt's 59 F here, sunny and I'm off to muck about in the yard. Have a nice weekend Angry. I'll see you Monday.
ReplyDeleteAnother good group. Your pictures are always better than mine.
ReplyDeleteYou must have some talent and patience, those figures are amazing. I'm very impressed--if I was making something that tiny, I probably wouldn't get that far without hurling everything through a window or destroying it all with a flamethrower.... (I'm not very good with small fiddly things)
