The figures are from Rebel Minis, they're not bad figures and you get 4 poses and get 5 of each pose so I farted about trying to make sure they're not too uniform but still giving them a certain company look? I have painted two news teams from Peter Pig to go with these and a couple of businessmen!
The vehicles (Toyota's) and gunners are from Peter Pig but I need something more modern like range rovers and may have to go 1:87 scale!
Pictures are the usual quality!
A lot of guys in my industry and some I even know have gotten their close protection licences to go into this dangerous line of work and I hope somebody got what the name of my company means!
Very nice. Peter pig and Rebel minis do work well with one another.
ReplyDeleteGood work... they really look the deal!
ReplyDeleteNow you only need a Paul Bremer mini (guy with the combat boots and suit in the last photo). Every private contractor needs an *bleep*hole to protect! ;-)
Just painted him!
DeleteVery nice Fran!
ReplyDeleteYep...they look just like...those guys...that do security and stuff...
ReplyDeleteWell done!
In that first photo of the real life security guys, is that you in the centre of the back row, Fran? He certainly looks like you!
ReplyDeleteI can't say, official secrets act!
DeleteCan't be Vampie, he looks far to cool to be Fran!!
DeleteBog off Rousell, you weren't there man!
DeleteI thought the same thing Vampifan. But seriously Fran, is that you? Ray, be quiet.
DeleteGood work there Fran. You're getting quite an interesting and diverse range of units together!
ReplyDeleteGood work. Wish I came back to modelling, maybe in the future.
ReplyDeleteWell, the minis are a lot prettier than the real ones ;-D
ReplyDeleteCheers
paul
Hey buddy, I'm a little lost. Do you run a private security company? Or do you create the little models? They look great either way. The guy at the back in the photograph (of real people) does look like you!
ReplyDeletePainted the little models and I'm sworn to secrecy!
DeleteSome great work here Fran. Just what the world needs, more contractors...Brothel creepers rock!
ReplyDeleteThey sure do look like mercenaries/contractors, great work!
ReplyDeleteVery cool.. and agreed on the diverse aspect of your projects.. can't wait to see more..
ReplyDeleteGood job on the little guys Lurker.
ReplyDelete:-)
Brilliant I love this project. Lets some action going. If it is you in the photo, I couldn't recognise you as if it was you your in sunglasses!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely look cool.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on those. Very well done on giving them different colors but keeping unit cohesiveness.
ReplyDeleteI tip my metaphorical hat to you. Great job on the figs, I was painting some 15mm modern day stuff over the weekend and all of it looks terrible
ReplyDeleteNice set of figures!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to work for a company called *sswater ;)
Cheers,
Mojo
Nice one Mojo!
DeleteYay got it first, being a non-irish... lol
DeleteVery nice paint job!
ReplyDeleteAs in pog mo I assume. (Not sure how to spell gaelic).
ReplyDeletea good resemblance to the real-life pics! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat work there Angry. I thought PP had some Land Rover types??? Maybe im completely bonkers.
ReplyDeleteOn another subject, have the Rejects discussed a meeting location for after Salute?
Old type with no body, looking for the modern type.
DeleteNice work Fran!
ReplyDeleteT.
Wow, these figs look great, nicely done!
ReplyDeleteOh dang, those guys have that place locked down. lol.
ReplyDeleteNice one Fran, very cool minis!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat mix you are building up. I see the end of the contest has not finished you
ReplyDeleteIan
I'm kind of surprised you let news teams into Franonia. I imagined you had a China or North Korea style media.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, those are some mighty big guns. That guy in the back does look like you, remind me not to tick you off..haha
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know there was such a thing as a close protection license. I imagine it's not easy to get one.
ReplyDeleteCosts a lot and involves training usually in eastern europe.
Deletelove the detail on these. the pants caught my eye for whatever reason.
ReplyDeleteThoin means arse in Irish so is it Arsewater Security? If so you could also call it Runnyshit Security.
ReplyDeleteThey look just like the miniatures. Awesome Fran. You need goldplayed ham
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of troops.
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job of not making them look too uniformed! (I like the guy with the big gun in the pick up truck! His eyeware is a great colour!)
ReplyDeleteAngry, look at one of my earlier Ambush Alley posts - Gaugemaster do some nice 1/87 Range Rovers that are suitable for 15mm.
ReplyDeleteI will, thanks for that!
DeleteVery well painted figures!
ReplyDeleteRegards
Lonewolf
Lovely stuff! Those Rebel Minis are nice though eh?
ReplyDeleteThey're not bad but I wish Khurasan did more!
DeleteVery nice work and they really look the part!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Hi Angry,
ReplyDeleteThe new FOW buildings perchance?
All the best,
DC
Very nice Fran; Franonia is going to be a very interesting place with these chaps hanging around.
ReplyDeleteBest regards.
Those look pretty intricate.
ReplyDeleteThose last two pictures look very realistic.
ReplyDeleteNicely done Sir! You just know these guys are going to run head on into trouble with some of those itinerant chaps from Rayonia.
ReplyDeleteGreat detail looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteSome great looking stuff, just the thing to make sure those reporters ready to denounce rayonia don't get into bother.
ReplyDeleteMean looking bunch of dudes. I think their paymasters will feel pretty secure in their protection!
ReplyDeleteHah, look at those little badasses!
ReplyDeleteNice Security team there my friend and I love the name too.
ReplyDeleteHaha, you guys actually looks like the models.
ReplyDeletevery nice fran. I always look at your latest posts as soon as I find out about them... But I am always behind a whole lot of other people who have commented
ReplyDeleteVery nice Fran, fab paintjob on such great mini's
ReplyDeleteExcellent painted figures Fran!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
