Got these from Ironclad Miniatures at a show this year, not bad resin models at all, Rayonia seems to have a lot of them at the moment and listed as modern affordable housing, nothing like this in Franonia!
Put some Peter Pig figures to show size and scale and apologies again for the pictures!
The roofs come off.......
Wow thats awesome, the texture of the sheets look very realistic, great job!
ReplyDeleteHa.. great job Fran.. looks great and indeed they must be "High class housing with water front views!".. Just need to build that waste disposal site, and the water front view can be complete ;)
ReplyDeleteGood job. I'll try some myself.
ReplyDeleteVery rustic looking Fran!
ReplyDeleteVery nice looking buildings Fran!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Great rendition of anti-social housing there!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit in awe actually as I got to see just how small a 15mm figure actually is... I'd have to wear both sets of glasses at the same time to paint to that standard!
That truck is a living lie! It looks really cool, reminds me very much of the shanty towns. Thought without the truck, it's not like they can afford one.
ReplyDeleteYeah as everyone else has said, they look great.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Fran, and I bet you can find lots of uses for them.
ReplyDeleteNever seen these before, looking good!
ReplyDeleteYeah but is that because you would rather have the poor being homeless, or are your citizens so rich they have no need of such "affordable" housing?
ReplyDeleteSo, the Franonian government is moving into the slum landlord business now? Eat your heart out Rackman!
ReplyDeleteNice stuff Fran :)
Very nice, one of the doors looks like you have upgraded to high quality ply!! you really spoil Ray you know that don't you?
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't appreciate it!
DeleteBet they get HOT in the sun.
ReplyDeleteGreat wee buildings Fran.
ReplyDeleteGeeze that's sad! No wonder there's fighting there!
ReplyDeleteNice huts. Well painted up Fran!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some townships in Joburg
ReplyDeleteWhen you say "nothing like this in Franonia!" does that mean there´s nothing as good ? :-D You now need some cats to put on those tin rooves..and some sun. I´ll get my coat...
ReplyDeleteCheers
paul
Very hot in Rayonia!
DeleteVery very nice shanties!! :-)
ReplyDeleteIs there a bar among those?
ReplyDeleteWow, very authentic looking corrugated iron.
ReplyDeleteThose look great!
ReplyDeleteNicely done. Its good that the roof is removable
ReplyDeleteSuperb, they look like they are out of District 9. The ruler of Rayonia must be keeping back all the oil wealth for himself!
ReplyDeleteThe Texture on them is great!
ReplyDeleteahahah I thought that was the whole van in the garage not just the half of it :)))
ReplyDeleteSomehow I think there may be more hiding in there incase some nasty Ray guys attack.
ReplyDeletelol, this is awesome
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ God Almighty what are doing here?
Deletelooking good, may look into getting some myself...
ReplyDeletei love the broken down cars!
ReplyDeleteThere are people living in Third World shitholes that would try and live in these even at this scale.
ReplyDeleteReally nice buildings! Life in Franonia seems cool...
ReplyDeleteI like these makeshift homes, and this retractable roofs. Awesome right?
ReplyDeleteRetractable as blow off in the wind!
DeleteGreat work Fran, they look tremendous! Lovely to see the interior of the Rayonian royal family’s palace! :D
ReplyDeleteWell said Michael!
DeleteRayonia is poorer than the Franonian press has let-on. Could be there is a mass exodus of Rayonians into Franonia being planned as we blog.
ReplyDeleteWe'll meet them at the border!
DeleteExcellent job on that shanty town. Great job especially on the weathering.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking hootches; I was invited into such an abode once when I was in Thailand. Dirt floor and sunlight poking through the walls. The owner loved it. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteAs always, the details are amazing! :D
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is that? Some kind of mobile house?
ReplyDeleteMetal huts!
DeleteNice shanties (I never imagined saying that phrase).
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Battle of Bidonville is on the horizon!
Very nice! I can smell prawns...
ReplyDeleteMy first apartment looked something like that. Except not as colorful, so frankly, I would have rather lived in these. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThose tin shacks reminds me a bit like District 9
ReplyDeleteOo, Oo, I knew I recognized them from somewhere. They DO look like the shacks from District 9!
ReplyDeleteI've always been fascinated by miniatures but I've never seen anything like these before. They're wonderful and really do look like the shanty shacks I've seen!
ReplyDelete--Susan
they look nice... if you were homeless. but as miniatures they also look good
ReplyDeleteRayonia has very nice familiar homes...
ReplyDeleteWhere is the miniature RV park to go with these shacks? And maybe a couple cars up on blocks?
ReplyDeleteGot the cars coming!
DeleteThey're looking good Fran. I've recently invested in some stuff as well, taking advantage of Gamecrafts 15% sale for memorial day weekend, and bought myself some sci-fi houses from their Tomorrow's war line.
ReplyDeleteDid you get stung with admin costs!
DeleteVery, very nice shacks indeed Fran
ReplyDeletethose are too pretty to be shanties. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that the tops come off. Neato stuff.
ReplyDeleteCheers and boogie boogie.
It looks like Rayonians will be living in Hell Francis. Now why is Jesus commenting on your page?
ReplyDeleteI'm lapsed but maybe not that lapsed!
Deletenice amazing stuff nice job
ReplyDeleteI can see my house from here! Oh wait that is a minature...
ReplyDeleteVery nice looking shantyhouses !
ReplyDeleteBest regards Michael
Reminds me of Land of the Giants. that ...i think it wsa Gerry Anderson show from the nineteen seventies. The giants were always capturing the midgets and poking them or putting them beakers. Why they were so obsessed with them is beyond me, once you seen one Christmas panto midget you seen them all.
ReplyDeleteGreat sculptures and painting, you have a gift for colour symmetry.
They definitely look like des res dwellings for Rayonia (at least they didn't have shell holes like the Franonian buildings you posted earlier!)
