15mm Advertising Billboards or Hoardings Scenery in Franonia.

The big boys have realised that Franonia is an up and coming nation and want to get their piece of the pie and advertising is a big pie........

........these are HO scale railway billboards with the addition of some small time little known companies, they work quite well on the 15mm building from Field Works.

To save you the hassle if you're interested here's the link.

The good black stuff.......

...or the Rayonians!

Great fries but Burger King has the better burgers.....

and the other black stuff!

Also Mark over at The Rambling Person has a great idea for a song trilogy that covers your past, present and future, has made me think about mine!

  3. Those look awesome....it's really starting to look like home!

  4. They look great, however are you planning on weathering them a bit to match the building? They look really crisp, just a thought...

    1. You're right, made these before the buildings were bought!

  5. I agree with Dr. Willet, you should weather them a bit! No matter what, they look good! You should ad one for a mobile provider. When I was in Africa, those were the most common along with Coke!

  6. Knocked a number of scratch-built billboards & posters up for my Middle-Eastern cesspit, using Google images and a laser printer which came out okay; like yours, I think they bring the buildings to life.

  7. very fun :)
would also be fun to have some not-so subtle mild nationalistic propaganda. Also maybe the commonly seen from the freeway 'if you lived here you'd be home by now'advertising rentals in the building.

  10. Nice one git-face, they are a great idea, and you do need to weather down the posters though.

  11. First thing I thought of was they need bringing back a bit but second thoughts are well the buildings are old the boards are new so I think I would possibly mix them, though that white is very white LOL.

How about battle damage a few (are they bullet proof like 80's movies would have you beleive?)

    Nice work

  12. That's a good idea Ian has. Adding battle damage and that would be fun to do as well. You could have one blown in half and hanging half on and half off a building. And then you could glue a figure to it and have him dangling above the ground.

There are a lot of possibilities with these. A good buy on these Fran.

  13. Like them, and thanks for the link for us lazy so-and-so's.

Would it be too much to ask you to measure and post the dimensions of the poster plane (imperial or metric will do!)? Cheers!

  14. A good addition for your gaming board. I agree that they need weathering and/or battle damage.

  15. So - Coke, Guinness and Big Macs. Could it be a dastardly plot by Rayonia to make the people of Franonia fat, unhealthy and unable to use those Nike trainers ;)

  16. Looking good, but I think the pillars of the billboards look too clean in comparison to the buildings. Needs a bit of weathering up..

  25. I like them but I would probably be inclined to make my own adverts. Soylent Brown or the like.

  26. Nice signage, I hope these advertisements are proving lucrative for Emperor Fran

  27. These look superb – especially being so shiny on top of buildings riddled with bullet holes :)

  36. Speaking of Guinness, I need to try some of the real stuff. The other day I picked up a case and didn't froth, no silt, and didn't leave rings on the glass as I drank it.

Looks like I need to go to a pub for something better.

  37. I love miniatures like these

  38. Nice idea there Fran. They look great. How much to advertise my blog on one? This could be a nice wee earner for you!

  39. Nice effect, though they look a little pristine on those ruined buildings - I'd give them a fair bit of damage and weathering to use them with these, but they'll look cool on none battle ravaged buildings.
