......a 28mm ACW/Wild West skirmish period, Outlaw Josey Wales meets True Grit and takes a turn at The Horse Soldiers with a pinch of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!
There's a few new rules (I think), new points system (I believe) but no rule regarding cheating shites (Ray!) but at least the 20% extra Reject point bonus should be in effect this year (Curt still remembers the pasta and t-shirt) but Ray is exempt and I will be watching the rule bending, pre-painted, not my figures cheating work dodging Ironsides git for all other participants, I feel it's my duty!
Plastic and metal goodness........
May not make it until the end but let's paint it like we stole it people (..like Ray!).
I might be interested if it's an open challenge. I'll check it out as I need a push to paint at the moent.
ReplyDeleteYou're painting 28mm-yeehaw. That's all I can say because I'm mad at you. I'd like to wish you luck in the challenge but I can't, as technically I'm not speaking to you right now.
ReplyDeleteWhat have I done now?
DeleteYou breathed you fecker!
DeleteYou know what you did. It was those dot dot dots of yours that did it. But I'm over it now, twas only a passing thing.
DeleteRay-hahahaha.
Good luck with this mate. Looking forward to all the entries once more like last year!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you, Fran.
ReplyDeleteDon't paint angry!
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
My Perry samurai are already on their way! I know Ray just hides all his painted stuff during the year and brings it out for the challenge. We should have a rule that you have to display before and after pics with newspapers of the day to prove no shenanigans.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the competition - I like the "movie-themed" ACW/Wild West project, lots of fun with that.
ReplyDeleteAs for Ray and his, ummmm shall we say "flexible painting ethics" I suggest electro-shock therapy. A few feet of wire attached to his chair, a car battery and and switch and you should be all set.
Consider it done!
DeleteExcellent - Ray this treatment is really for your own good. Trust me when I say that Fran's demonic cackling as he flips the switch for yet another jolt is just a facade to hide the deep pain and anguish he really feels. In this case the old adage "this will hurt me more than you" must surely ring true...
DeleteVery true.
DeleteGood luck Fran!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to see some of 28mm stuff from you.
Cheers
Monty
Whilst Ray is on a different shift to you he will be hoarding bits away.
ReplyDeleteI have a key to his locker!
DeleteLooking forward to seeing you work.
ReplyDeleteI'd just like to say Fran is a lying git and I'm gonna give him a swift kick in the knackers when I see him again, which will be Wednesday night! That's something to look forward too!
ReplyDeleteYou have a better chance of kissing them but that's about it mutton chops!
DeleteGood luck with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise the gloves are off already and we have 13 more days before the baloon goes up
ReplyDeleteIan
let the games begin and may the bravest survive!
ReplyDeleteGood luck guys! Should be a good one....THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with this challenge! And keep an eye out for those cheaters!
ReplyDeleteCool project. Anne stole my line so I'll have to one up. Yeehaw squared!!!
ReplyDeleteNice with some more ACW Fran !
ReplyDeleteGood luck inthe cometitio!
Best regards Michael
You can do this Supreme One! You have always put quality before quantity!
ReplyDeleteYou've got my sympathy mate. It must be awful having to compete with such a cheat. Herr Roussel is infamous across the interweb - he must be lower than a snake's belly in a cart wheel rut.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
;O)
Well said Joe!
DeleteWell good luck. This could be what you need to bring you out of that funk. Remember too that if you don't cheat, you're automatically better than Ray!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and all that although competing against Ray probably requires a good dose of patience too! Nice Blog re-design.
ReplyDeleteGood luck Angry! Your project sound very interesting.
ReplyDeleteJason
Thor look-alike?! Ha! I think I'll show my wife this at breakfast to make her shoot coffee from her nose...
ReplyDeleteExcellent project Fran! I look forward to seeing this develop.(Remind me to post a funny ACW picture I have of me from my salad days.)
Keep Ray in line for me, will you. I'll make it worth your while...
Not a problem.
DeleteTotally looking forward to seeing what you do this time around. And I wish you all kinds of luck. Kick Ray's ass. Do it for me.
ReplyDeleteCheers Mel!
DeleteBest of luck in the competition my good man and I love the theme - we're not supposed to have a theme are we?
ReplyDeleteNope. Do whatever you heart desires Michael. As long as its historical and something I like. ;P
DeleteLooking forward to the race this eyar between you and Ray... I suppose to be neutral, but good luck anyway
ReplyDeleteBest of luck Fran, I'll be joining in as best as I can...
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your ACW material Fran and keeping Ray in check. Don't forget about Ray's painting bottles being mysteriously left open on the 19th!;-)
ReplyDeletePersonally I'll be competing against myself to improve on my old score as I will never rack up the points to win.
Christopher
what.. it has been a year already since this last challenge? no way man.. unless by annual u mean monthly. i could have sworn u guys did one of these earlier this year.
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome. Best of luck to you!
ReplyDeleteGosh, a year just flies by. Good luck to you Mr. Lurker.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
ReplyDeleteOkay I think I missed something. But I'll catch up soon. G-luck Fran; F-off Ray!
ReplyDeleteSame to you Dixie with bells on!!
DeleteGood luck on your challenge, dude. The riders and the horses miniatures look great. If I had to wager, I'm betting you will win this one.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Fran! Ray would never do such a thing as cheat, you'd catch him in an instant!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lot of work, but if anyone can do it, you can. Good luck! I like Kelly's idea. Can those of us watching place wagers?
ReplyDeleteGood luck Fran! If you need a 1/72 scale Ronin just contact me!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
