Saw these on TMP and had an idea that maybe I could use 6mm for larger scale stuff like 15mm, well I think you can and these walls which I painted dirty white just about do it (they're not bad but I'll have to probably base the walls up as they move...a lot!).....
......put in a 15mm critical mass games building and some 15mm Khurasan miniatures to show some scale.
The lovely Clint sent me and Ray some chocolates which I have to admit were fecking excellent (I got more than Ray but don't tell him), nice surprise, nice guy and seemingly a damn good cat herder!
mmmm nice looking choc's. Those walls make a great looking compound keep out some of the local wildlife.
ReplyDeletegood idea!
ReplyDeletethey must be very high for 6mm !!
I think you are "The Hungry Luckier" yet with those chocolates!
You can be bribed with chocolate? Good to know.
ReplyDeleteNot a lot mate!
ReplyDeleteYum! Those chocs were rather nice!
ReplyDeleteYeah the 6mm walls work fine. Good idea.
ReplyDeletethey look nice! and...is chocolate ever a bad thing?
ReplyDeleteNot according to the other half!
DeleteDid you notice he didn't bah humbug Christmas when someone gave him a present?
DeleteSorry Anne I'm just a blog whore!
Delete...and they say, the Grinch's heart grew three sizes that day...
DeleteWe can only hope Mel, we can only hope....
DeleteThanks for the blog post!
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed meant to be 6mm walls.
Big walls to protect an entire settlement though.
Here they are next to some 6mm:

Michael.
Those walls look huge for 6mm and they do work with the 15mm figs and terrain. Enjoy your chocolate Fran and the happy Christmas cheer that goes with them!
ReplyDeleteOoh chocolate, yay :D The wall looks okay, you can easily use it for things other than it's intended purpose and be just fine.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly look useable Fran, the scale is fine.
ReplyDeleteOohh nice chochies.. yum!
i think u should paint those walls black... gray* the white walls look like the padding on my walls in my room.
ReplyDeletegreat work Fran and I hope the chocolates were as good if not better than they look(ed?)
ReplyDeletethose wall are perfect for small defensive walls in 15mm infact I would not be surprised if they could be used as a farm fence in 20mm they are so big. in 6mm they must be to stop tanks or something
The great walls will keep out a horde and looks like a great snack too.
ReplyDeleteCool little setup there.
ReplyDeleteWhere is my chocolate????
Ray ate it!
DeleteFirstly thanks for the back link. Really glad you enjoyed the home-made fudge. The nurses I work with love it.
ReplyDeleteLove the walls really nice, glad you put the figure there for scale.
The compound looks good, but I bet the chocolate tastes better. ;P
ReplyDeleteNice work on the walls, and congrats on the chocolate!
ReplyDeletethe chocolate might have been good, but the real question is: can you do something with the boxes? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to think on that!
DeleteDon't get any chocolate on those walls Fran. Nice execution.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, I've often thought about mixing the scales a wee bit. I like how it goes from what would presumably be very large compound walls, to just over head height. I had thought of buying one of the Critical Mass Otilium Refinery sets for Dropzone Commander, which while it's 10mm, the fact it's a big industrial building you can get away with doors that are a lot bigger than the figures.
ReplyDeleteAnother Supreme Command decision, General.
ReplyDeleteknock knock, who's that at the gates?
ReplyDeleteGreat walls there and they work well with the buildings
ReplyDeleteLooks like it's coming together nicely. And that is a very shiny gift box.
ReplyDeleteThose walls work well with 15mm, shame they move round so much but basing should help
ReplyDeleteIan
That's the kind of gaming I could get into. Those chocolates look delicious.
ReplyDeleteMmmm... chocolates for a gift, very few things are better.
ReplyDeleteDid somebody say chocolate??
ReplyDeleteThey work perfect with the 15mm figures!
ReplyDeletePS: I hope it was Belgian chocolate! :-D
Greetings
Peter
