Back at work for the first time in 2013, first MaccyD breakfast of the year (yum but don't tell Ray's missus as he'll get in trouble), actually painting Perry ACW Union figures for the challenge but have some old west buildings for the up and coming town of Angry. Have found out from comments here and TMP that they are actually Hovels buildings, lovely stuff but the downside is only some of their range have lift off roofs but what can you do!
They are a great set of buildings!
ReplyDeleteAm I allowed to say that they're cute? They are!
ReplyDeleteThey are a great collection of building there Angry and Angry Town is coming along.
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic! Might have to keep an eye out for some of these at Salute this year.
ReplyDeleteI guess some of them are meant only for display but the town is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteVery nice buildings
ReplyDeleteYou've done a good job on them. Shame about the roofs and you can guarantee that players will want to go into the ones whose roofs don't lift off. Stupid players.
ReplyDeleteGreat buildings. I love the old west and the look of these are real nice. Reminds me to put the town I painted a few years back online as well. Look forard to see more and of course the first reports from the shootouts
ReplyDeleteVery nice Fran, are these the same building from the last time you painted up hordes of 28mm ACW-Cowboys and Indians??? And will we get a game with them this time???
ReplyDeletenice work Fran
ReplyDeleteCalliope once more make her appearance...
ReplyDeleteI strode down the street, and Joris and he;
I walked, Dirck stalked, we talked all three.
'Go get 'em!' cried the barman as he stepped inside.
'Get 'em!' echoed the townsmen as they drew aside;
From the perils of the gun fight all of them shied,
But stayed to watch what would the contest betide.
I drew forth my pistol and Joris and he;
I fired, Dirck fired, we fired all three.
'Good shot!' cried the undertaker as the foe bit the dust.
'Shot!' echoed the townsmen, 'The gun fight was just!'
That outlaw gang's career's gone bust,
And all because we three fired fust.
Happy New Year,
Ion
Excellent sir....excellent!
DeleteYou can tell I liked those Wild west buildings, eh?
DeleteNice looking building Francis! I hope your painting funk is gone because you need to get some points up on Curts board
ReplyDelete!
Working on it!
DeleteGreat set of buildings and lovely painting
ReplyDeleteLooking good Fran. Rumor has it that town o' Angry don't take too kindly to us cowpokes. We've been steering plum clear with our cattle.
ReplyDeleteCowpokes with money welcome!
DeleteCracking buildings Fran. What rules will you be using for your Wild West games?
ReplyDeleteNow there's the fly in the ointment, don't know yet, skirmish and easy.
DeleteLooking great... These should turn into a fine town!
ReplyDeleteLooks good! You'll be ready for a gunfight in no time.
ReplyDeleteExcellent looking buildings
ReplyDeleteYEEEHAAAW pardner! That town sher is a bute.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking buildings. I expect there are a lot of gunfights in a town called "Angry." I'm guessing the undertaker must be a millionaire.
ReplyDeleteVery nice buildings, Fran; fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLooking good Fran, you definitely need to get a game in with those. I'm starting to get swamped with Wild West buildings out here, but I still need to get them painted.
ReplyDeleteThey look great, you'll have your own High Noon soon enough.
ReplyDeleteGreat set of buildings Fran!
ReplyDeletePhil.
I'd order a house from you, Lurk, but I'm afraid the first wind would blow it away and us three little pigs would be defenceless from the wolf...
ReplyDeleteVery nice Fran. Really like them all
ReplyDeleteNice work, General.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking buildings, just don't go in the ones you can't take the roofs off, simple! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIan
Good looking buildings. A town called Angry, a country called Franonia..... I won't finish this sentance as I am sure you already get the point I'm making!
ReplyDeleteStunning wild west set-up, thanks for sharing these pictures!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Those are great. Have a look at Warhammer: Wild West. I enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteThose miniature buildings look authentic. They could be used in movies for special effects purposes.
ReplyDeleteLovely work on these Fran. Useful as well.
ReplyDeleteWell those just look cool as heck Fran!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Where's the saloon?
ReplyDeleteTea total in this town.
DeleteNice looking and well painted buildings. Really cool, Fran.
ReplyDeleteThe town of Angry is coming along, they look great.
ReplyDeleteFran, those buildings are very well painted. They will be fantastic additions to Angry.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Fran. It's shaping up to be quite the 'burg.
ReplyDeleteThey look grand! Am I right in thinking the one building of the three you can't break into is the Sheriff's office? Old Stumpy must be in there with a shotgun waiting for John T. Chance to return.
ReplyDelete...and an itchy trigger finger!
DeleteWhat did you have lunch or breakfast? Do you have McGriddles there?
ReplyDeleteVert
ReplyDeleteBuildings look excellent!
WOW very nice Angry, im in the process of doing an old west town aswell but in 15mm.... these buildings look sweet.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. In my days of gaming Wild West, I had some paper buildings, which have since been lost in a basement flood. Yours would have survived for sure!
ReplyDeletePainted up a treat there well done Fran!
ReplyDeleteThey look great Fran! Give me more!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look really good, Fran. I was waiting for a tumble weed to blow through!
ReplyDeleteVery nice buildings!
ReplyDeleteGreat job ! These houses are lovely painted ! Congratulations and happy new year !
ReplyDeleteName them whatever you want, I call them cool badass hangouts.
ReplyDeleteFrantasic looking buildings! ;-)
