Top brass for my colonial marines, figures are from Oddzial Osmy with GZG robot bodyguards, lovely looking figures but by the rings of Saturn a fecker to clean up (hard as steel) but eventually worth it!
Now onto my pension fund, I won these figures of Zulu legends Lt John Chard and Lt Gonville Bromhead (from Michael at his excellent blog, go visit) who commanded at Rorke's Drift and played by by Stanley Baxter and Michael Caine in said movie, Michael is a quality artist whose work should rise in value tenfold and hence my retirement fund.
I also got this medal and the artist's provenance to authenticate his work, I 'll have to get him to sign it when I see him at Salute......Sir!!!
digging the red eyed guys in the back... they speak to me... in a good way. nice job!
ReplyDeleteNice work - I like the look of the officer in the middle. The miniatures seem to have quite good details for 15mm scale.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Thomas
It's amazing how small those figures are, Lurk
ReplyDeleteNice figures here Fran. I like the red accents you used and also the blue eye patches.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the win at Michaels place!
They're auspex message receivers....I think?
DeleteLOL Franz!
DeleteBeautiful stuff. It also reminds me that I still owe you those sci fi flags. Oops.
ReplyDeleteNice work Fran! An nice one Sir Michael!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like what I see Fran. Keep up the good work. See you next weekend at Salute.
ReplyDeleteVery nice science fiction figures! You know I approve.
ReplyDeleteHaha - yeah, I don't know what kind of metal Oddzial Osmy uses for their minis but it is tough stuff! I wish my car were made of it. I've fouled up a few XActo blades on their Pico Armor minis - thankfully their minis are usually very clean casts.
ReplyDeleteGreat work on the sci fi stuff angry. Love the Chard and Bromhead figures too!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Francis and as to the pension fund, good luck Sir; if only it was that easy!!!
ReplyDeleteSee you soon.
Very nice win and lovey head shed for your marines. I've just finished a batch of Colonial Marines myself. Should have em up on the blog later.
ReplyDeleteThe robot body guards are my fav, great figures once more at your cave
ReplyDeleteNice work Fran and I really like the guy in the middle who looks like he's in charge. Congrats on the nice figure win too!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
That is a good looking retirement fund there. Remember, the price goes up if he's no longer alive. Just something you might want to consider.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking work on both the 15's and 28's. The 15's look like 28mm. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteGreat look , and good paint Sir
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Great looking figures, Fran. And congratullations for your prize!
ReplyDeletewow ! doing such a painting work ait this scale is half of a miracle ! .... for the second half... I don't know..
ReplyDeleteNice work and congrats on the prize win!
ReplyDeleteNice work and lovely winnings Fran :)
ReplyDeleteThe robot body guards made me smile; don't they always betray you in the end?
ReplyDeleteThe Chard and Bromhead figures are way cool; good fortune there; however, I suggest a retirement fund, just in case.
Nice going there, General I like the Oddz figures real good.
ReplyDeleteGreat work Fran! As a historical gamer, I'd love to see a Sci-Fi AAR with your collection. And nice one on winning free figures!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on those minis Fran. I like how you used the red to make the figures really stand out.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win!
ReplyDeletecool stuff, very cool stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe robots are very cool. Congrats, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Fran! Love the robots. CU next week!
ReplyDeleteGreate painting Fran
ReplyDeleteCongratulation to winning some stunning minis !
Best regards Michael
Very well done, congrats on the win too.
ReplyDeleteStunning Top Brass Fran! The pension fund are very very nice too!
ReplyDeleteVery very nice Fran, I love the officer!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Officers...the ones that ever get their hands dirty! Clean and nice work Fran! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Roarke's Drift figures. ZULU was one of my favorite movies growing up. Last night I watched DOG Soldiers, a rather routine horror flick in which a section of UK infantry on maneuvers in Scotland get hunted by a family of werewolves. They hole up in a house and there are lots of references to ZULU.
ReplyDeleteJust finished watching Caine fighting off the Zulus today! Great looking figures!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing missing from that second to last shot is Ray's big face right over the trees.
