........even Cr**per if you prefer! Many names for an essential piece of woodwork found between the 18th and 20th century in Europe, North America, South Africa, Australia or nearly anywhere you had to go!
They come from 4Ground, you get 4 in the pack, MDF and not too hard to make.
28mm appropriately attired Foundry figure to help show size and scale.......
Very nice job!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want to be near them when the description thunder box fits best.
Well done Fran your always talkin' crap, so why not paint some crappers!
DeleteNice potty mouth Rousell!
DeleteGreat set, Fran! There must be a lot of pent up demand in your Old Wester town to have 4 in a row!
ReplyDelete4Ground is making great stuff. I've grabbed 2 of their Dark Ages hovels and love how nicely they go together.
I picked up some of their wagons as well.
DeleteYou can never have enough outside conveniences for when a chap gets caught short. Really great bits of kit too.
ReplyDeleteI guess with all those beans, they need that many crappers in your town!
ReplyDeleteBare foot even. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteVery cool set Fran!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
The air conditioning's a good idea.
ReplyDeleteAh the outside lav. After your first winter you achieved Jedi status in bowel and bladder control . . .
Reminds me of my holidays with some relatives back home some time ago!
DeleteThey remind me of a few share houses I lived in, in the late 80s and early 90s – with no indoor "facilities"! Nice work Fran!
ReplyDeleteNice looking models. Looks like #2 and #4 are the victims of some explosive flatulence. Bacon and Beans'll do it every time.
ReplyDeleteNo beans necessary-it was Rousell just doing what he does naturally.
DeleteIt's like working in an abattoir sitting beside him.
DeleteYou know your Thunder Boxes, My General! Nice job. BTW, red long-johns would look really good on that cowboy!
ReplyDeleteYou're right Field Marshall.
DeleteYep, these would have wound up on the lawn at my school. Along with road signs, rubbish bins and toilet paper they create quite a sensation!
ReplyDeleteThese are some real beauties Francis.
Thanks Anne.
DeleteYep: the sort of edifice that was described by Bill Cosby as being in winter a hundred yards too far from the house, and in summer, a hundred yards too close! Since a certain Thomas Crapper invented a flush toilet, I daresay one need not be overnice about the appellation 'crapper' for these conveniences. I my view Mr Crapper has done more for humankind, than, say the types of comedian who's running the planet these days. By answering a vital human need, Mr Crapper is thus to be honoured.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah... Nice models. :-)
...and rightly so!
DeleteThey look good - I need to check out this company - I could use these kind of terrain for Muskets and Tomahawks. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteDean they do some great house's and block house's designed for the F&IW
Deletelooking great Fran much better that a brick s*&* house :)
ReplyDeleteWell now some may be SOL but at least they will no longer be full of **it haha
ReplyDeleteNice additions. I'll have a look at their website.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an old west construction site. They are in better shape than some of the modern -blue water- portable tiolets on job sites. They even have hard hats shaped like cowboy hats, so he could be a gunslinging construction worker.
ReplyDeleteKinda nasty. You should cut a piece of dead rat tail and leave it in one of them. Get the aroma and the flies hanging around just like the real thing!
ReplyDeletenice looking interior as well. :)
ReplyDeleteNice execution Fran, we had one until I was about 15 or so back in the 80's.
ReplyDeleteMonday was empty the bucket and dig the contents into the vege garden chore day...Good times.
Obviously a civilised town with ladies. Or the blokes would just go behind a tree! Who am I kidding, the probably still will! These are also quite posh, most would have mono pitch roofs. Nice job on the Privy's mate.
ReplyDeleteVery nice privys, coulden´t have to many.
ReplyDeleteGreat work...and useful...
ReplyDeletePhil.
Nice small buildings!!
ReplyDeletethey look comfortable and maybe ecological ?
good work!
Well done Mr L! No getting caught short now!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to get some of these will be useful to scatter about.
ReplyDeleteNow when they gotta go they can go all in a row.
ReplyDeleteThat's some good S#*t Fran.
ReplyDeleteDoes a cowboy crap in the woods? Not if he has 4 awesome thunder boxes...
ReplyDeleteare those peek or ventilation holes in the back? :)
ReplyDeleteThunderboxes... Sorrly missing from too many games!
ReplyDeleteLike what you did with them... The colourchoice is very nice!
At last, no more queuing in Angry Town though I still get the feeling that they'll be fighting over something else.
ReplyDeleteA perfect complement for an Old West game table! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteExcellent job!
ReplyDeleteNow if you'll excuse me, I gotta go to the euphemism.
very nice Fran, reminds me of that scene in young guns
ReplyDeleteVery characterful, I can smell the aroma wafting across the breeze... ;-)
ReplyDeleteI came over to pester you. Those girly items look pretty in Tim's box.
ReplyDeleteHey you. Behave yourself while I'm away :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THESE. LOVE!! Sad as this may sound...kind of reminds me of family reunions when I was a kid! Long story...
ReplyDeleteIs it wrong to call outhouses adorable? I mean, one of them has a heart on the door! So cute.
ReplyDeleteI've got quite the imagination, Lurker babe... holes in the back side of the crapper??(smile)
ReplyDeleteFour outhouses! No waiting!
