The Walking Dead: Episode 1.............Very Good.

Like a lot of people last night I sat down to watch a TV series about zombies "The Walking Dead", this series has been advertised and hyped to hell and I was not expecting a lot especially as I am not fond of the lead actor(Andrew Lincoln) but I was surprised, he is playing his part well and no problems so far.The basic plot line is he gets shot in the line of duty as a deputy sheriff and wakes up in hospital in a country plagued by zombies and how he comes to terms and deals with this.

This series is very well produced, good special effects, slow zombies and just the right amount of gore. The acting is solid, the story is going at a good pace and I am looking forward to the next episode.

If you have not already seen it I would recommend it as it is entertaining and will give you a guide and an idea of things to come.

  1. I haven't watched it yet but I've prepared myself by watching "Night of the living dead" and "Dawn of the dead" on the BBC Iplayer!!!

  2. Dawn of the Dead, remake or original?

  3. If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
    Or cool one pain,
    Or help one fainting robin
    Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

  4. I thought it was very good as well. AMC tends to make some good series, "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad" especially, so I had high hopes for "walking Dead", and so far I'm happy with it.
BTW, is SWMBO -She Who Must Be Obeyed?

  5. Grrrr... we always get things late downunder, then they wonder why there is so much movie piracy.....!#@$&*! and *&^$%! blistering barnicles, blah blah. (feel better now)

  6. You'll get there mate, when does it come out down under.

  7. I thought it was excellent,
Was a bit strange the main 2 actors of the 1st episode were Brits with US accents but they were convincing. Really nicely filmed and solid acting. Can't wait for the next episode.
