500 Followers: Thank You Very Much and a New Project.

.........thanks to all the followers and readers.

My new project is shown below with the help of a map which will be gamed in 20mm and a year later than originally planned (1940) and comes under a what if? (well really...... WTF?) scenario with a lot of things having to go a different way, very few troops getting off Dunkirk, the french fleet at Mers-el-Kebir being captured or handed over, the pact with Stalin been honoured for a few years, more support for Rommel in the desert to secure oil, stuck to attacking the airfields and not the cities, not allying themselves with Japan etc........
I know it's fantasy but I love what ifs? and currently reading Fatherland by Robert Harris which is set in Berlin in 1964 and it's reasons for winning the war are quite plausible. So at the moment I'm painting 20mm figures for this project and hope to pick up some bits and pieces at Salute and I am also meeting some fellow bloggers there aswell, if you're going to Salute 2011 on Saturday the 16th have a good one.

The campaign looks interesting, but one thing...there are no blue arrows pushing the red ones back and the the song to go with it, (all together now) "who do you think you are kidding mr..."

  41. Congrats on the 500...well deserved.
What If's are great and Fatherland is such a cool, and a little scary, book. It is so plausible and the propaganda never does justice to how close some things were.

Congratulations on the 500. Is there a way to set up a separate page or area where we could see all of them like twenty-five files by twenty ranks deep?

    Like this, but more

    oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

a lot more--let's see all of them at once somewhere.

  48. Fran - when youve finsihed with Fatherland (great book), try Len Deighton's "SS-GB" which is set in German occupied Britain in 1941. Good read!
