While hunting around for townsfolk and citizen figures for my wild west town of Angry I stumbled upon these while ordering a gallows from Black Flag, not bad at all, very little flash, quite easy to paint and welcome in the town as long as they do as they're told and pay their taxes!

ReplyDeleteGrr, deleted because a stray question mark snuck in
ReplyDeleteNice citizens Fran! :)
They're ok, I suppose, the photography's probably the best thing about them.
ReplyDeleteYou are a wicked man Ray. Don't listen to him Fran, they rock!
DeleteRay is a douche!
DeletePlay nicely Ray...
ReplyDeleteVery nice Fran, they are everything we have come to expect from your painting desk. (Lol)
Seriously though, I like em. Nice work.
DeleteThanks Lee...I think?
Deletelick, lick!
DeleteTop notch figures and painting Fran.
ReplyDeleteNice ones Dude.
ReplyDeleteNow go and watch Django unchained, you'll get some pretty neat ideas for your city I promise.
Like making Dr. King Schulz
Really well painted! Great!
ReplyDeleteWell hopefully you were able to find a gallows too for if they don't pay their taxes.
ReplyDeleteI don't really get war-gaming but I was watching Cowboys & Aliens last night, and absolutely wishing for a model set. This stuff is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteVery well done.
ReplyDeleteSome of them look angry - possibly over the high taxes.
If you are not careful some of them might go Coffeyville (Kansas) all over you.

Great work Fran, I want to see what they become when they decide not to pay their taxes and not to do what their told
ReplyDeleteNice work.. and yes they will fit in quite nicely! Well until a posse comes in to rob them.. then who knows..
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Fran ;)
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do look good, Fran.
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Can't wait to see the whole setup when you're done with everything.
ReplyDeleteFran they look excellent. Can't have enough civvies in skirmish games
ReplyDeleteLooking good Fran. Your town is populating quickly!
ReplyDeleteHowdy Pardners! Nice painting, get character building.
ReplyDeleteYeee haw! You know with my name I'm gonna like Western figures. I was Christened after a TV Cowboy after all (not Eastwood.... so guess again!!)
ReplyDeleteMe like. Civvies are great..you´ll have to do up a few more and do a TV series style game. You could have one turn up every episode, who declares he is a man of peace, (a half american, half chinese guy looking for his brother)
ReplyDeleteJust before he beats the hell out of anyone he goes back in time in his head and remembers the lessons of tolerance, calmness etc, chooses to ignore them and leaves a trail of dead and crippled behind him before walking off into the desert again.
I like that guy in the specs. Great figures Fran and a lovely job of painting them as well.
ReplyDeleteI won't be back in until sometime in February-real life is keeping me busy. You boys have fun!
Very cool Fran! I love Wild West stuff
ReplyDeleteFine upstanding citizens all.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Not seen these before. Your old west collection Is coming along nicely
ReplyDeleteGreat work!
ReplyDeletepfftt.. a town which doesn't have a madam isn't a town to me :P
ReplyDeleteThese have character, talking of which have you and Ray thought about doing a Trueman Show type thing, sure you would put wargaming on the map and make yourselves rich and infamous.
ReplyDeleteIan
Awesome job, really filling out the town now.
ReplyDeleteI love the barkeep/general store owner. Probably the only time a man can wear an apron and still look like a badass.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work!
ReplyDeleteNice work Fran! I have that set too. In fact I cleaned them, primed them and then misplaced them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful array of characters and beautifully painted. Is it just me or are the photographs a tad over exposed? ;)
ReplyDeleteNice painting, General. I especially like the fella who has just spit in his hand and is looking for someone to shake hands with!!
ReplyDeleteNice work sir, they look great for populating your town
ReplyDeleteGreat job !!!
ReplyDeleteIs it doc Holiday on the left ?
Great painting, great set of figs. Queue the theme song to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!
ReplyDeleteJust like in the movies! :D
ReplyDeleteThose look fantastic. They all just scream to be used in a game.
ReplyDeleteThey look great!
ReplyDeleteIf I were a wild west bandit, these would definitely be the folks I'd want to rob. :)
At first, the guy with the red vest, I thought he was a cyclops because that nose looked like it was one big eye. But then I clicked the image and saw that he had two eyes and one honkin' nose.
ReplyDeleteNice Fran in particular the gent with the glasses.
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Good stuff! Nicely done Fran.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the town drunk? Every old Western town has a town drunk!
ReplyDeleteI love the name of the town - You know what this means? A map mustn't be too far off!
ReplyDeleteThe sculpt look clean and well moulded, and the painting job is really good.
ReplyDeleteReally nice, could get me some of these.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, Fran. A good adition to your collection!
ReplyDeleteTop notch... Really like your Wild West project!
ReplyDelete'Ordering a gallows from Black Flag', that's the sentence of the week.
ReplyDeleteThey are very nice painted and a great range of characters there
ReplyDeleteNicely painted victims...err, citizens.
ReplyDeleteEvery city needs its victims....err, citizens (as Justin said)!
ReplyDeleteNice work there Fran. :)

ReplyDeletethese lil figurines reminded me of Django

Town- check, Irish infantry-check, hapless citizens-check......All you are missing now is perhaps Josey Wells type rebel raiders.
ReplyDeleteI love these guys! Especially the guy in the back with his grey mustache.
