Even more 28mm Old West Buildings and Outdoor Plumbing for Angry!

The last of the painted Hovels Wild West buildings I got in the deal, lovely stuff but the roofs don't come off so really just lovely scenery but then I'm a scenery junkie and you can't not like the outdoor plumbing.

It's so cold here tonight that Ray has switched the heating on in the bathroom 15 minutes before going for a movement.....he needs to man the feck up!

  1. Your Wild West stuff is awesome! Dig the outhouse. A necessity! Great details on the general store.

  2. Very good job, Sir. The outhouse I remember very well from the summers spent on my uncle's farm.

  3. Oh, and your comment about Tarantino - I assume you meant you were just stunned they would finally honor one of his films/actors with an award?

  4. its cold enough here to banish any thoughts of using the restroom :)

  5. Very cool. Good they have an outhouse, too.

  6. The dear old outhouse, that i remember Bill Cosby describing as 'in winter a hundred yards too far away, and in summer, a hundred yards too close.' Though the non-detachable roofs limits their utility a bit, the look of the things goes a long way to make up for that, and more. Quite the Wild West town you must have got together by now!

  11. I wonder if the saloon has indoor toilets, I really hope it does.

  12. those are hot! I love Hovels!

  13. Very nice. Although the idea of cold bear prior to at least 1880 would have seemed odd. But a lot of the television and movie ideas of a saloon were not particularly accurate. They mostly played Faro, not poker, for instance. On the other hand Doc Holiday did have a shotgun at the O.K. Choral. But it was because he had no weapon, so Wyatt Earp gave him his favored weapon and used his backup.

  15. The cold beer could simply be what was served at room temperature, especially in Colorado, Wyoming, or the Dakotas.

    1. Btw, Fran, have you yet stated where the town of Angry would be found? Angry, Colorado has a nice ring too it, or even Angry, Arizona. :)

  16. Great stuff you got in your trade, Fran. I'm looking at the outhouse and reminded of a scene from the Missouri Breaks where a cowboy is shot out of the outhouse with a Buffalo Gun by Marlon Brando. That had to hurt!

  17. Nice one Mate. I always find it tedious to paint model buildings. You however have done a greta job on these.

  23. These really are a bit special, graet job Fran.

  24. I love these, especially the outhouse. I'm with Ray, I'd turn the heater on well before having to use the loo and that's if it was 50 degrees outside!!

  25. Your paintjobs are first rate, Fran. Such a shame that the roofs don't come off.

  26. Lovely mate. Lets see them in a game!

  29. In choosing a plumbing in Westminster be sure he or she is insured and licensed. This is very important. If there is a plumbing emergency, you need to make sure the plumber has met the training requirements of the state. If he is insured, this covers any accidental damage done while repairing your plumbing.

  30. Neat buildings. I'm into building some colonial stuff at the mo. I know how hard it is to make these. Well done.

  31. Billiards, Cold Beer, and Hot Food? Shrink me down and invite me in. Sounds like a party!

  32. Is there a little bucket for the outhouse?

  34. Nice work Fran, I love the outhouse its full of character. I can just imagine an old granny popping out with a shotgun.

  35. I am currently painting that exact same outhouse. The buildings are really cool Fran.

Ray's a girly-man. We can't afford central heating and have no heat at all in the bathroom. It's -4.0 out right now and I can see my breath when I go to take a piss. And do I complain-no. Why? Because I'm Irish.

  36. As Jason said above: FRANtastic!! :) I think that should be your nickname from now on!:)

  37. well done, very well done!!!! that outhouse is a bit close isn't it especially if ray has to use it I imagine that he would be lighting fires all around it so it would be warm enough for him... this would probably involve him setting the house on fire would'nt it?

  38. is the outhouse really necessary for this war game?

  39. They are very nice buildings, Fran.

  40. I really love these buildings! Why aren't they in 1/72 scale?

    Excellent work Fran!

  42. If I was tiny and I was actually walking by these building I'd swear they were the real deal. I liked your general store and your outhouse. All of is cool. You didn't happen to have any miniature rolls of toilet paper in your outhouse did you?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I can't decide what I enjoyed more. Seeing the little outhouse, or reading about Ray's movement.

    I think it's a tie.

  44. Glad you are putting these to good use. I painted them a few years back and never got around to gaming with them.
    Regards
