Anne (you know who I'm talking about) commented that she's interested in foundry's War Orc figures at the moment and I said that I thought I still had some from when Dave Thomas sold a load of at a SELWG many, many years ago and she said she wanted to see pictures so........This big bitch is listed as a mad Ogress Queen from Foundry and she is big, she was painted quite a long time ago and today maybe I would have painted her differently but that doesn't matter now.....you can name her Anne if you want and her followers will be posted as well.
I've always liked a little fantasy figure here and there...........especially a well sculpted or quirky piece, you should see all the Games Workshop plastic chaos warriors and skeletons I have.
I feel the call of some fantasy figures..........maybe!
One of her loyal warriors.......
Bizarre figure - Pamela Anderson meets Lurtz! ;-)
ReplyDeleteJaysus! Looks just like me the morning after a mad bender! Oh that hair hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteShe is a really cool figure Fran and you did a fabulous job of painting her up. Those heads hanging off her are great.
Christ, I will never live this shite down :)
That is fantastic and very very cool. Love the colors. Anne, you look amazing, and no, I doubt you will live this down.
ReplyDeleteBut that's a good thing.
WTF!
ReplyDeleteNow I can clearly tell this is always about having a nipple to the air! Nice one.
ReplyDeleteExcellent paint and fig. But I could swear one of those heads looks suspiciously like Ray.
ReplyDeleteNice to see something different!
ReplyDeleteExcellent figure and painting. Nothing wrong with a little fantasy now and again.
ReplyDeleteShe is scary!! The collection of severed heads is particularly frightening!
ReplyDeleteA very unusual miniature. But never the less a nice piece and a great paintjob.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Fran!
Cheers
Monty
Glad no one has been so crass to say something about sitting n ones face.....................ooooops
ReplyDeleteIan
So, Fran, is that really how you see Anne? ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely painting
Yes, that is how he sees me.
DeleteNow Fran, while I think doing homage to a beautiful lady proves that chivalry is not yet dead, to insinuate Anne is anywhere near as lovely as this creature of yours is preposterous! She is far MORE lovely... so nice figure; very nice gesture but try to do the lady a bit more honour next time eh ;-) oh and :-P
ReplyDeleteCheers Sander
Lovely paintjob, the look, especially the twinkle in in her eyes, reminds me of some of the 'ladies' down Walsall town centre on a Saturday night (including the trophy heads).
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Matt
Wow... She sure is pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat is one mighty looking figure. I've seen some fantasy figures and they do look amazing when done right.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, shes one ugly bitch
ReplyDeleteIf Anne looks like that, then you are really in big trouble, Fran.
ReplyDeleteI do collect the heads of men that piss me off. Looks like I may be adding the head of a certain Irishman to my belt :)
DeleteIt was dedicated to you cailin and was never meant to be you cailin.......
DeleteLiar Fran, that's not what you told me as you typed at the post cackling away like the devil.
DeleteAnne send him down the water slide also... send them all down... hahaha I wonder who screams more (I would go down first but someone has to push these 2 down
DeleteBut she has blonde hair and you said-you can name her Anne. Oooops, did you mean "Anne, you can name her"
DeleteI have to ponder this one for a while before I decide which of you two to believe :)
Well this is certainly something I never expected to see - Fran painting fantasy figures. You've done a great job on her.
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with that figure and love the belt'eads!
ReplyDeleteLOL I knew her picture was fake. Thanks for outing here and showing the world her true self, now I'd watch your back haha
ReplyDeleteShut up Cat.
DeleteWhat, at least she knows how to dress with style! :D
ReplyDeleteLove this fig, love the pair, love the paint. Kudos as usual Fran. Rock on.
ReplyDelete'Morning, Supreme General. I'm sorry you have been having bad dreams lately.
ReplyDeleteShe is a nasty peice of work, and the little heads... just ghastly, hehehe well done.
ReplyDeleteVery nice Fran, I want to adopt one of those creatures, so cute!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Great job! Follow the call of the fantasy figures...follow the call of the fantasy figures...
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
ReplyDeleteNothing to do with Anne !
ReplyDeleteI assume that only Anne I'm knowing is an Irish Elvish woman called "Gal'Anne O'Driel": I've meeted her and I've done pictures too ! (search on my blog!)
(and all the guys who say here that it's a great work, etc.... are bl***** liars !)
Thank you for defending my honour Samwise :)
Deletethat looks nothing like our dear Annzie.... well, maybe, after her visit to our Shenanigans Pub :)
ReplyDeleteI am wounded by your words:)
Delete/shakesinfearandtrembleswithfright/ :)
Deletehahahahaha.
DeleteNo it can't be our lovely Annie - given the nipple slip she is more like an Ogrish Janet Jackson - c'mon Fran, you can do an Ogre Justin Timberlake ogling at the wayward ogre mam!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Doc
I like them both. A lot of character on the Orc Queen, the severed heads are a nice touch. I think that there should be more Angry Fantasy in the near future.
ReplyDeleteI gather she is short on patience. Well done Fran!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
That is one ugly mother mother.
ReplyDeleteA very nice figure, Ray. This range of models is really interesting; I like a lot the "landsknecht" orcs. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI have called you Ray! Excuse me, Fran. His is the second blog I visit normally...
DeleteI actually cried a little but you're forgiven!
Deleteha ha!
DeleteThank you a lot. What a mistake!!!
DeleteOh, Anne, have some self-respect. Put that back in your shirt.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't sit on those heads. They bite.
Hi there, long time no post. I like the redesigned site. I really did the 'Mad Ogress Queen.' If only 'The Lord of the Rings' had her.
ReplyDeleteLOL thats one mean looking lady, nice work Fran good to see a classic fig
ReplyDeleteHe seems that he's looking for an escape..the loyal warrior I mean. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the missus very much Fran! :) Nice colouring, vivid and...green!
Excellent figure and painting , very nice colors .
ReplyDeleteGreetings
That is a top paintjob there Fran, love the colours and it really works well
ReplyDeleteLovely work Fran, detailed paintwork and nice shading.
ReplyDeleteNot the beautiful Anne I know however!
Those are nice castings, and I like your choice of colors!
ReplyDeletelol the heads on a belt sell it. spot on.
ReplyDeleteGreat work on a great figure...the heads seal the deal!
ReplyDeleteAnd is it just me or there a bit of the Orc nip slip on this one?
My word, you do like to live dangerously! What a cracking job though Fran.
ReplyDeleteThat looks pretty damn good. Thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteYou are a brave man, Fran. It's a good thing Anne has a great sense of humor! I love all the heads.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who the loyal warrior is? You? Ray?
Great job painting!
Makes me smile to see a figure like this named Anne.. reminds me not to mess with her!
