............Copplestone Castings!
My small British detachment for some Victorian Sci-Fi gaming (if that ever happens), 10 ratings, 4 officers, 2 pilots and an Ambassador when I find the figure I like, these were painted pre-unemployment, lovely stuff from Copplestone as usual.
Maybe some loyal native troops.......
With this they can be in any part of the country in hours....well maybe days!
They look sharp! Might take that little sub a week though. Hope you do some sci-fi gaming soon.
ReplyDeleteI should have said it's an Aeronef!
DeleteVictorian sci fi? Anything that combines those words needs to happen.
ReplyDeleteYou know it Mark!
DeleteThis is my lucky day! I just happened to log onto blogger right when you posted. That hasn't happened in an age.
ReplyDeleteThese guys are nice Fran and I like that sub. You'll have to get a game in somehow. I know Ray isn't into this kind of thing, but maybe you could tempt him with some custard doughnuts.
Hell, you could tempt ME with some custard doughnuts!
DeleteYou're both very easy!
DeleteCool! Love the airship!
ReplyDeleteThanks my friend!
Deletethey look great!
ReplyDeleteThanks sir!
DeleteSome quality boys there
ReplyDeleteIan
Thanks Ian!
DeleteAre you still not painting?
ReplyDeleteAfraid not!
DeleteVery nice. I just love Copplestone: so fun to paint!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on some right now for a client to be Dr.Who U.N.I.T. troopers.
For an Ambassador you might look at Lead Adventure Miniature's line.. lots of good VSF characters in there with the appropriate amount of puffed-up regalness you'd want for an ambassador.
I'll hae!ve to have a look, thanks mat
DeleteGreat figures, though I'm a bit iffy on the sub thing.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I don't get is that this post doesn't have a single dig at "you-know-who", no "Hello Sailor" or any of the usual banter - Are you unwell ?
The heat is killing me and my limited brain cells, I was more set on the aeronef thing but sub is a good idea, maybe a transforming thingy!
DeleteThey look really great!!! I wish I had something else witty to say, but I'm out!
ReplyDeleteThat's okay Mel:D
Deletehope no sharks attack them in the sea
ReplyDeleteAnother Jaws prequel!
DeleteSuperb job mate, I've been eyeing these up for an IHMN company. Love em!
ReplyDeleteThanks Simon!
DeleteLooks fantastic Fran!
ReplyDeleteNice one Rodger.
DeleteGreat work Fran, fantastic looking force
ReplyDeletePeace James
Thank James!
DeleteThey look splendid, I like those officers very much.
ReplyDeleteThe highlight of the force for me as well.
DeleteI knew that someday, general you would extend your mighty empire up and into the ethereal realms. Hail, the General!
ReplyDeleteThanks Field Marshall!
DeleteThey look ready for battle indeed
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat!
DeleteGreat work Fran, you're on a roll this month mate. So, when you moving out here?
ReplyDeleteThey wouldn't let me in at the moment, I've been watching Border Security!
DeleteWonderful group of VSF British, Fran. They officers particularly are full of character. Warm regards, Dean
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean.
DeleteThey look great Fran! It seems your moving things along at a very nice clip.
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Thanks for that Christopher.
DeleteThey look JUST rugged enough
ReplyDeleteRugged painting is what I'm about!
DeleteThese look the business Fran, great job ol'boy.
ReplyDeleteThanks sir!
DeleteGreat work Fran. Good to see you are being productive mate!
ReplyDeleteI need to be far more productive!
DeleteThose are very nice indeed!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat.
DeleteVery nice painting work on them. I've loved English Naval Marines for VSF ever since i saw a sort of "Black Hawk Down" meets victorian sci-fi game on "Rot and Drivel" forever ago. Wonderful stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks mate!
DeleteLovely miniatures and great painting! That boat-thingy is excellent as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonas!
DeleteNice figures Fran. They go really well with the Vehicle. (Yes I know it's an aeronef, but I love the idea of using it as a sub!)
ReplyDeleteYou do seem to have gotten back into painting.
Painted them ages ago I'm afraid!
DeleteHoi Fran, great stuff. For the ambassador you could try some figures of this range: http://pulpfigures.com/products/view/27 or the guy in dinner dress: http://pulpfigures.com/products/view/35
ReplyDeletethe guy top left first row is brilliant: http://pulpfigures.com/products/view/186 now I know this producer doesn´t sell single figures but if that´s a problem we could buy the set together and share the mini´s I´ll give you first pick!
I'll have a look, thanks for the offer Sander!
DeleteWell just let me know mate!
DeleteNo problem.
DeleteGreat stuff Fran!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gowan!
DeleteThose are jolly splendid jolly tars, nicely doe that man.
ReplyDeleteThank you Michael!
DeleteVery true Andrew.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Fran. I really love the officers, I'm a sucker for a good 19th century beard.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good beard Sean!
DeleteNot sure that ship would get very far, great job though
ReplyDeleteThanks John, it's got plenty of coal!
ReplyDeleteThey look great, Fran, as per usual. And a nice job on the Ironclad airship, as well.
ReplyDeleteHave you looked at the Frother's UK Colonel Marbles, I think? I am using his figure as my Viceroy on Mars.
I've just looked him up, he's very nice!
DeleteExcellent work Francis! (Can't go wrong with all those fierce whiskers.) Love the steam-craft as well but it needs a deck gun to finish it off.
ReplyDeleteYou're right!
DeleteThese guys look ship-shape to me!
ReplyDeleteNice one Chris!
DeleteGreat work there Fran and I like the uniforms on them with the tea stained hats. Top work
ReplyDeleteThanks PK!
DeleteMuy buen material, te felicito.
ReplyDeleteTe invito a mi blog de miniaturas Jack y otros coleccionables: http://juguetesdelcoleccionista.blogspot.com.ar/

Greate looking unit !
ReplyDeleteGreate transport to, will it be armed?
Best regards Michael
That's a good question?
DeleteHola
ReplyDeleteQue buenas estas minis
El barco me gusta sobre todo
un saludo
Thanks j.d!
DeleteWhat fun you must have with these guys! And I like the idea of a Victorian scifi mix, too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteVery cool Fran. The troops look great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that sir!
DeleteThey look great Fran
ReplyDeleteGood work, Fran.
ReplyDeleteThose guys do really look like proud Britih seamen.
Cheers
Stefan
Thanks Stefan!
DeleteNow the question is, despite being seamen, how well do they actually swim?
ReplyDeleteDuring the press gang years and I believe further, a lot of them couldn't swim!
DeleteLovely figures and ship!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
Thanks for that Peter!
DeleteGonna plagiarize mark's comment. Victorian sci-fi sounds like a big thriller. Fran you should dress up like that third guy from left in first picture. They look so fine and handsome. Sci-fi navy men in non-hazmat suit cool.
ReplyDeleteIt's an idea girl!
DeleteWhat, no ladies? That's gonna be a long, awkward week on that (very cool looking) sub!
ReplyDeleteVery awkward!
DeleteNicely painted sailors... are any of them called Stains by any chance?
ReplyDeleteYes, why do you ask?
